Title: Still No One Has Claimed the 25 Million Satoshi Prize! That's $65!
Post by: JackpotFaucet.com on January 06, 2015, 02:44:44 PM
Make sure to check all the addresses you've used at www.JackpotFaucet.com (http://www.JackpotFaucet.com)

As soon as you put in the winning address and make a successful claim with it, you will be notified as to how to claim your big prize!

Good luck!

I'm not using a proxy/tor/vpn when opening at your site but I'm getting this error.

"Ohh.....You Tried To Access A JackPotFaucet Network Site From A VPN, TOR, Or Proxy."

We could, but we like our users having to try all the addresses they've claimed with. More hits :)

We normally give it a week and then we make a decision whether to draw another winner or just put it back in the jackpot.

putting it back to a jackpot would be nonsence as there would be 2x prize for the same amount of tickets

Yes.... I previously also asked, how the draw is done, to make things transparent and have not received any answer.

Can they give proof of any "draw" being done and how it's done? Is this open for public scrutiny?

Is the "draw" fair? - Can we use a hash to calculate the result?

Why "hide" the draw result?

I see some smoke, and when there is smoke, there is fire.   :(

I will inform my forums / twitter / Blog / Facebook friends and members to not use this faucet, until we get satisfactory proof, that this is not a scam.
http://www.bitbiz.io/threads/faucet-with-a-progressive-jackpot-1-million-satoshi.587/#post-4220

They also selling their faucet script for ridiculous prices - This type of faucet software is available for FREE on the internet.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=916139.0

There are also other people in doubt of their honesty - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=914759.20

If you offer a faucet with a Jackpot, you need to have a public "draw" not a "in-house" / "secret" draw. The people using the faucet, generate your income, and if you scam them, you will loose your income. {Faucets only gets funded from Ad's, if they have a user base for exposure}

The only thing, setting them apart from any of the 1000's of other faucets out there, are the "Jackpot" system and that is not transparent.

When you tell people not to use your faucet, if they do not trust the jackpot transparency, it shows me, you missing the plot. Your members are your most valuable asset and to put them down in public, is a bad idea.

Why "hide" the draw result?

This is exactly what I was wondering as it is something unusual of all giveaways/competitions etc.,

I think this is not giveaway/competition even a jackpot. Because its not clear how they draw the jackpot, which is the winning ticket? If it is real drawing, there should be clear information on of which ticket win the jackpot without waiting for the winner claim another ticket. At least there should be ticket numbers, in fact there is no ticket number.

I worried this is just a promotion strategy. But who knows...

Just don't understand how and even why a winner needs to claim when the winner is not announced yet!Very strange!

This is DIRECTLY FROM THE SITE:

"How Will The Winner Be Notified?
Following the jackpot drawing, the winner will be notified after making a new hourly faucet claim. Jackpot Faucet will make the winning payment directly to the winning user's Bitcoin wallet."

You see, this means that all those people that use multiple wallet addresses on our site to get free Bitcoin have to go back in and claim with EVERY SINGLE ONE of them to see if they are the winners :) This increases page views.

We aren't trying to keep $60 guys, it might be a lot to you, but it's not to us. We'd rather give it away to the rightful winner.

Sry.its not that you keep $60 or something for yourself.
We all were asking for transparency .
Recently I've seen a bigger give away($100 in btc) that went like without any this kind of 'much ado about nothing'..the winner was contacted, asked for btc address,fb and btc being sent instantly!

Ha ha ha.... The same kind of "FU, we do not need you" attitude. When a business / company stop listening to it's customers, they will fail.

Someone, with better business sense and willingness to implement transparency, will take the concept and run with it. {There is no copyright on the concept and the faucet software is available for FREE on the internet.} You only need to tweak it, to build a Jackpot.

Why would we do that? By announcing the address, then all those people that have used multiple addresses would stop checking them all.

Why would we do that?

Just one word: Trasparency.

Trasparency (behaviour): as used in science, engineering, business, the humanities and in a social context more generally, implies openness, communication, and accountability. Transparency is operating in such a way that it is easy for others to see what actions are performed. It has been defined simply as "the perceived quality of intentionally shared information from a sender"

... and yes...you will surely do well also without my clicks  ::)

You know.. if you announce who won, maybe it's faster to findout who won it.
Seems so simple but so complicated uh?
"Who used multiple account will not check them all"
Which sense has to let them check them... I mean, what if I won, and I stopped using that because I forgot which address I used there?

Anyone can post a name and a picture of a random person on a site and say ----> This is the Winner!

Can that be independently audited? Your previous winner lived in your country, as you stated yourselves.... What is the odds of that?

Is this guy your neighbor?

You better have more proof than that....

We not saying there will not be a winner.... there will be a winner, but how PROVABLY FAIR! is your system to draw that winner? and how transparent is the draw?

The other thing is.... What if a winner wants to stay anonymous? Players using a Lotto has the option to choose, if they want to stay anonymous or not.

I will not use this faucet, if I have to reveal my identity. People will hassle you and harass you, if you won and beg for money. Why bring all that down on yourself, for $65.

Will someone please create a faucet with a true transparent jackpot draw and full anonymity?
