Everyone have right on his own opinion.
Developer of coin did something different as all other do. Put coin on bitcoin talk and get mined from 10000`s people, who dump coin an destory his value. A lot of coins could be more successful if Devs will be more smart and will not get dumped from people on bitcoin talk. This forum is perfect for coins who want to get couple BTC profit for Devs and those people who have a lot of asic, so they get a lot of coins in start, after that dev is gone with premine and coin is gone.
So before you spread lies here, get true info about developer, about coin about plan for coin.....
About that LEOcoin is next Bitcoin...... hm didint i hear that from all coins who are promoted here on Bitcointalk???

Not true, good coins have launched from here. LTC, XPM, XMR and quite a few others. You need people to support the coin otherwise it has no value. A few guys with most of the coins and the coin goes nowhere. Its just an experiment with a few friends in on it. Who will buy this? Nobody. Thats who.

Title: Re: Leocoin ?
Post by: SolarFox on March 24, 2015, 05:10:24 PM
I stop mining at their official pool http://pool.leocoin.org because when i wanted to withdraw coins after 3 days of mining it need mail confirmation, what is good of course, because of security, but problem is that confirmation mail never arrive to my mail, not even in spam or trash folder. I THINK contact them on pool and as i expected NO answer at all. So i wasted 3 days there and  my 51 coin stuck there until one day, they will shut down pool and take coins if they are smart enough to see coins hanging there.

This smells like another Garza copycat.......

Also ironic that it claims to be the second largest and have a symbol very close to Litecoin (which most people admit is the second largest). Actually smells like a double copy cat, Garza style along with copying Litecoin symbol trying to trick people.

Scamception here! And for anyone that knows me im not one to shit on other currencies....so thats saying a lot.

Yeah....the press worldwide took the bait..and without any kind of research....at taking the bait that leocoin is the 2nd largest alt coin behind bitcoin in the world

(i mean i knew journalistic standards were sloppy..but I mean really???)

examples of folk passing along this hype w/o any fact checking

http://www.techweekeurope.co.uk/e-enterprise/financial-market/leocoin-bitcoin-uk-digital-cryptocurrency-165134

http://www.newsbtc.com/2015/03/25/bitcoin-braces-up-for-rival-leocoin/

seems the above clueless hype is moving to the mainstream media ...also w/o any kind of checking of the facts

cnbc link

http://www.cnbc.com/id/102533747

heh cryptocurrencynews is NOT amused...by this pump and dump lie/scam etc

https://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/leocoin-claims-second-largest-digital-currency-bitcoin-bullshit/

anyway as far as I can tell....there is NO github source code on this....it is a POW (only cpu and gpu) and POS coin combo

and everything they are saying is either exaggerated or fluff...

but then again this launch gets eyeballs to your site...so who cares...and better yet if it is a scam you get even more eyeballs when that happens...so you double the fun
on your news web site....and to top it off if you throw bitcoin around enough in the mix you can slam that either for or against in the articles depending on which for even
more readership

win/win/win

and of course any 'correction's' or miss information you can also make a story out of that as well or just bury the redaction  a few months from now on a daughter page on
the site

success/scam/whatever .....plenty of eyeballs on the old news web page.....its all about the eyeballs and the ads don't ya know....

Hi,

I did some some research on the people behind Leocoin.

Dan Andersson, the Leocoin founder , had been involved in the top management of Unaico Ltd some years ago.
Leocoin Co-founder Atif Kamran was also involved in that company:

The company was later renamed to Sitetalk – OPN.

From Wikipedia:
“Both Pakistani and Chinese authorities have given their citizens official warnings against getting involved with Unaico and reviewing the company as an illegal pyramid schemes and scams.”

The original wikipedia entry is in Norwegian, but google translate works fine.
Link:
https://translate.google.com/translate?sl=auto&tl=en&js=y&prev=_t&hl=en&ie=UTF-8&u=http%3A%2F%2Fno.wikipedia.org%2Fwiki%2FEnigro&edit-text=&act=url

Here is the warning:
http://www.secp.gov.pk/Publicwarnings/activitiesUnaicoPublicWarning-July.jpg

Github for Leocoin is at
https://github.com/Leocoin-project/LEOcoin

A guy from Gaza named Sync claims to have developped the coin as a freelance job.
http://proofofdev.com/sync-sync/

What does " LEO Company Stock: 50 Million LEO (5%)" mean in the github description?

(I am not a coin expert...)

Maybe it is worth to dig more...

Two questions:

(1) How much are LEOcons to buy (£ or $)? It looks like you have to install a wallet before you can attempt to buy and so see the price. At least that's how it appeared to me from a failed attempt on their site, http://www.leocoin.org/, where you have to follow the steps under the "Let's get started" section. Is that the only way to get into LEOcoins?

(2) Can you view transactions on the LEOcoin blockchain, like what you can on https://blockchain.info/?

Their site (http://www.leocoin.org/) looks quite professional. But odd it's got a typo ",much simpler then the online banking we all know." under the "USER FRIENDLY" section?

sounds a legit way to count merchants right? once they hear of leocoin  via spam you will fly out the door to take it at the storefront :)

sheesh.....what is bad about this is the fact that the worldwide press..and legit worldwide press just went with this farce saying it was gonna replace
bitcoin w/o any due diligence or research..if the media bought this tripe just because it would bring eyeballs to their media pages..well .....it is worse

Lot's of things are shady with this Leocoin but we'll see what will happen. Andersson and Kamran are to be honest funny guys with it seems to little knoweladge about cryptocoins but they know how to market and sell things. Whether this coin is scam or not no one can say that they didnt invest a lot of time, money, connections and efforts to all this LEOcoin story. Yes, many things are strange, companies behind whole story are small businesses with not even close revenues to what marketcap with marketed price of coin would suggest, but hey at least they are legit companies. Merchant part is not functionig in some strange part of verification, official exchange is slow to point of unusability  and have some serious issues also, Leobit exchange is currently disabled due to some maintenance, pictures of wallets from internal exchanges showing huge probably premined amounts for sale on 'super low' prices which you can't achieve nowhere else,... so, too many shady things pointing to a just another... sad crypto story.
Anyway it seems that whole team trying to bring crypto to a wider non tech audience than any altcoin managed to reach but all the things, stories, scams, frauds... which are happening arround cryptoland are not helping them in reaching their goals at least if their goals are legit, if  not, than they are probably doing just by their plan.
Anyway, only time will tell.

Nope looks like people are smart enough to stay away now......quite the flat line on the old live/dead coin meter on this

https://bx.in.th/charts/BTC/LEO/10-days/

blam......down she goes and is now down and out according to that chart above

what got me is how 'stupid' the press was running with this obvious bought and paid for by leocoin canned story about going to take down bitcoin.
I mean I knew that the press these days was BAD but a simple google search of bitcoin and contemporary alts would have shot this down in 2min of research.

made me even wiser about press FUD if nothing else from this whole Leocoin farce.

Why do some of you people mean it is a scam?..  just because the price is low? or because its company is also in selling their learning products?
If most of the people would think this than it is a "scam", but everything is totally legit, you can trade with them or mine them officially... and you don't need to buy their products to get leos.. there are many other cryptocurrencies which are actually scams, one if them is M-coin for ex., it has regulating price by its company and u even can't mine them..
But if most of people would believe in leocoin, then it could achieve big name in the future, because more people will start to use leocoin..
so why some of you guys giving a bad name on LEO.. if u don't like it, leave it... I believe as many others that LEOcoin will be a success!

I have read all your replies on this topic, you got to have a reason for wasting your time here on degrading and rebelious comments. Maybe you are the one who's scamming people here. This subject is to inform people not scam them and what you have been doing all this time, have you brought any information about subject till now?..
I don't know what is your reason here to be a douchebag but I hope it is well paid.

Now LEOcoin is 3rd on Market Cap. For now, they have been doing well. And solid12345 is probably crying like a baby right now    ;D

lol either you are shilling for LEOcoin or you got taken to the cleaners, millions of premined coins sold at a dollar a piece and they leave you holding a bag of probably a few dozen or hundred.

2)cpuminer-multi-rel1.1
cpuminer-x64 --algo=scrypt --url=stratum+tcp://stratum.leocoin.org:3000 --userpass=Vita1ico.1:x --diff 0.02
Finds balls . But not confirms . No yay!!!!

3)darkCoin-cpuminer-1.3-avx-aes-windows-binaries
minerd-avx-aes-sse2-sss3 -a scrypt -t 4 -s 4 -o stratum+tcp://leo.coinranch.org:3333 -u Vita1ico.1 -p x

Actual coin supply is: 67,843,350 LEO

How many coins have been premined/mined by a limited number of people before the public announcement?
