Thanks. Title: Re: asicminer prisma fan option? Post by: notlist3d on April 22, 2015, 07:14:10 AM With prisma I would air on side of caution as far as turning down fans and such. I can understand replacing with quieter ones.
But without a temperature sensor, this is not really the miner to try to use the least amount of fans to cool it. Title: Re: asicminer prisma fan option? Post by: Lci80 on April 22, 2015, 08:08:28 AM There has to be a way because i have 6 prismas and they are driving me crazy :).When i spend more than 2 hours in the warehouse where they are located i have a headache.I would not change the fans without advice from somebody with more knowledge.
Title: Re: asicminer prisma fan option? Post by: philipma1957 on April 23, 2015, 02:24:15 AM you can do it I found a way. use the silver stone
http://www.amazon.com/Silverstone-Cooler-Computer-Cooling-FHP-141/dp/B00A460TK6/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1429755692&sr=8-1&keywords=silverstone+141 and 1 of these http://www.ebay.com/itm/380922276988?_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT but I had the older prisma so I am not sure the silver stone will fit. if it does not fit try two of the ebay fan. these fans move a lot of air but at lower noise levels. Title: Re: asicminer prisma fan option? Post by: philipma1957 on April 23, 2015, 07:41:25 PM Will two fans like these provide enough airflow in push and pull config? SUNON MEC0381V1-000U-A99 okay they are rated tohttp://www.soselectronic.com/?str=371&artnum=70310&name=sunon-mec0381v1-a99-mec0381v1-0000-a99#tabs-2 234 m3/h 234 cubic meters per hour needs to be divided by 1.7 to get to cfm so they are 137 CFM I would use it and the silverstone which is 170 cfm you will be much quieter then stock and still be moving a lot of air. you could buy 2 sunon and 1 silverstone. and test 2x sun vs 1x sun and 1x silverstone these are moving quite a bit of air , but I used 1 silverstone and 1 antminer s-3 fan with my prisma 1 safely for 2 weeks that is about 170 cfm + 130 cfm the 2 sunon would be just a bit less air then the mix of the silverstone and sunon Title: Re: asicminer prisma fan option? Title: Re: asicminer prisma fan option?
