I have never done anything like this but obviously something for almost free sounds tempting as hell. I seriously need an item but am fairly broke after the holidays, just wondering if this still works?

If you're broke then you can't afford it and you should be looking to earn the money legitimately if you want something. The USPIS (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_Postal_Inspection_Service) doesn't fuck around either. They're more scary than the FBI. Order whatever you want - it's not your money. Not quite the same, but I see what you did there. :) Surely there are certain items you can order that for safety reasons, cannot be sent back. Food, household items for instance. But it doesn't seem worth jeopardizing your account, ending up on some shitlist. I order a lot through Amazon, and I appreciate being able to do no-hassle returns/refunds when warranted, but I don't push my luck. Amazon has great service, and it isn't right to try to take advantage of them. Not sure what you are trying to get at with a refund, but it probably won't work out how you planned.

That's the wrong way of thinking, and it's morally wrong, but if you need a quick buck it might as well be considered a last resort.
