Title: Need help setting up a watch only Electrum wallet Post by: akbtcnewb on January 11, 2015, 03:35:11 PM I have an Electrum warm wallet set up on my mac. I'd like to add a wallet, that is a watch only version of my cold storage Electrum wallet, to this same mac. I think this requires a bit of command line prowess that has this newbie a bit nervous. I understand how to make multiple wallets using btc core, but am a bit hazy on Electrum. When I try to install Electrum, my existing warm wallet loads. Makes sense, but not the intended effect. Can some of the Electrum pros help a guy out? Thanks all.

Title: Re: Need help setting up a watch only Electrum wallet Post by: jonald_fyookball on January 12, 2015, 05:47:30 AM ^ this. then you should see an option to create watch only. enter your master public key from your cold storage wallet and you're good to go. make sure you are copying the MPK onto a virus free USB stick.
