Try SatoshiQuiz (http://www.satoshiquiz.com) instead, and earn a lot per day whilst learning some new things everyday by playing quiz... Instead of earning alone, come there to earn either at 1st, 2nd or 3rd, as if you like to be in a competition... ;)

I don't invest the time nowadays, but you used to be able to make some change using faucets. Not so sure about the situation anymore.

These are really micro ammounts like 100-1000 satoshis per hour so it's useless.

I don't think that 1000 satoshies will ever do you any good. My own suggestion is to buy some yourself, to see how the markets and exchanges work yourself. That's the best way to learn imo

Actually it was good way back in time when they gave away 1btc/0.5/0.1 atleast so you could play with it a bit but now fees are waaay higher than the ammount you get.

Many gambling sites offer faucets with that kinda payout every few minutes.

I would just recommend coinflapper (or is it flappy coin? dunno). Anyway, it's the only way I won some cents by doing something I'd do without the reward (though it gets old quick).

Otherwise, it's a better use of time to work at McDonalds and buy bitcoin.

faucets are really good to start and learning to manage bitcoins and wallets and so on.

but I really think that they are not profitable at all and there are other ways more profitable to earn bitcoins

None of those referrals are a good start to getting anyone's first bitcoins. They all take a long time and a lot of effort just to accumulate enough to send to yourself.

The best way to get your first bitcoins is to buy them through localbitcoins or from an exchange. You can have them in a few hours with very little effort.

Even the site that I suggested, i.e.; SatoshiQuiz (http://www.satoshiquiz.com) is a site where you play for a rank and make a few satoshis every minute, it gives nearly 100-1000 satoshis/question/minute... So, its way better than the current faucets only giving 100-200 satoshis per hour...

Well, why not just get some real work and buy some coins? That time spent on faucets would be worth waaay more, unless you are really lazy or 12.

Faucets are great for newbies to earn your first bitcoin and get the grasp on the wallets and its functionality. Meanwhile at the same time, take the opportunity to learn up about bitcoin especially on how to make it secure. Once you get the hang of it, it's time to get your own baby :)

Faucets are good for users to see what bitcoin are like.

If you are looking to earn bitcoin,

I wouldn't say waste your time with Faucets. They won't get you much.

The best way you make the faucet worth your time is by refering people.

But mining is for the regular guy impossible today, so.... Faucet (http://www.kwaasteniet.eu/faucet/) > Trading

First bitcoins?  Its hard.

It's simple to set up an account on Coinbase...just takes a little time. Once set up, though, one can buy/sell instantly.

There is no giveaway on the site. It just lists a dozen of faucets with ref links.

BTW, I don't notice any increase in giveaway in https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=71.0, after bitcoin price dropped.
