How would I go about creating a 100% safe paper wallet...from online threats anyway.

Buy a trezor it basically does all the security for you  :)

Security is certainly an issue today. At least someone with an idea has his priorities in order, security first. Thank you OP for your intelligence I hope you find the ways others failed at. Good luck sir.

Go to bitaddress.org https://www.bitaddress.org

download the zip (https://github.com/pointbiz/bitaddress.org/archive/v2.9.8.zip)

unzip and open the site in a pc that is not connected on the internet

move your mouse in order to create the keys

choose "single" or "paper wallet"

print

send Bitcoins to your new wallet and save in a safe place

you are done!

I don't know how paper wallets works to be honest , but isn't the Private key written on the paper ? so basically it's not that safe , all someone have to do is steal that paper from you and you are done ?

I personally prefer brain wallet even if it's hard unless you have a good memory.

That's why you should keep the paper wallet in a home vault or bank locker. It's safer than hardware or web wallets because the only way for people to get the private key is to go to your house/bank and get the piece of paper itself.

well if you are gonna think like that, consider this. if someone wants to steal from you that person would rob  your other valuables like your laptop, wallet, gold, money not a piece of paper! :D

yep, it's like keeping all your money inside your house. That's why you have to split in different wallets, different places. Or split the private key  :P. But i doubt it;s likely that someone who breaks in my house would know what that piece of paper is and how to use it  :D

In that case consider creating a lot of empty wallets and just leave them around your house in places that can easily be found  ;D

1- download bitcoin core wallet.
2- go to offline mode ( close your internet connection)
3- create a few addresses
4- dump their private keys
5- print them
6- sen your bitcoins to those addresses seperately.
For instance if you've 5 btc; seperate them to 10 addresses and each address got 0.5 btc.

You are right about Private key. You can for example divide your Private key on three pieces and store them in three different places. I would recommend to focus on printer and print quality more. I do not trust my memory  ;)

You could also encrypt your private key using BIP-38. This will result in an key that is useless for someone that doesn't the password. However, this means that you will have to remember the password forever. ;D

If you have a "dumb" printer is best.  But most store a few prints in them.  So use one at home, and oldest one you have. 

And keep paper wallet locked up, safety deposit box etc.   

I am in a signature campaign for a coin that you can store paper wallet in.  Might take a look at something like this.  It is meant for cold storage.

Saving up for a Ledger myself.

Don't forget that an old printer is the best option.
A new printer could store the private key in the memory.

Also, boot your computer from a Linux "live-CD".

And keep it safe, make two or more copies.
Avoid to scan the private key with a Smartphone cam if you don't want to spend de money.
I don't like that option, because I could lost the money forever. :-\

Well then, you could create a 2-of-3 paper wallet and place them in different places so that
1) having just 1 paper wallet is useless so it is safe against thief and burglar breaking into your house
2) you just need 2 paper wallets and no further password to access your bitcoin

It's a better idea.

The paperwallet has the advantage that it can be hidden between the pages of a book, so if you have lots of them, burglars needs to review each book, one by one. And one of the paperwallets could be hidden inside of a pen or the PC speakers. :P

Of course, you must be careful if you want to sell some books, the pen or the speakers. :P
