Title: OpenMP/OpenMPI linux based miners
Post by: empi on January 14, 2015, 06:13:15 PM
Hi there!

As a project for university, I have to do some performance testing of mining implementations based on OpenMP or OpenMPI on CPU/GPU based clusters. What is really surprising, I am not able to find any of such implementations. I looked through the topics on the forum as well I searched the web - without success.

Perhaps some of you knows about such open implementations, buried somewhere in the web. It's pretty important and urgent for me so your help is really appreciated!

Cheers,
empi

This part of the forum is about Bitcoin mining.
Bitcoin mining isn't done with CPUs or GPUs.

Forgot CPU/GPU mining (also if it's only a university project) they died a couple of years ago because there aren't any profits anymore mining with them also if they are in a huge cluster environment (the cluster will cost you much much much more of any profit you can do with it).

As you can see projects like https://github.com/pooler/cpuminer and http://guiminer.org/ are on hold since 2/3 years.
