I don't mind it,
kind of an initiation thing if you want to think so far into it,
no respect until you've earned it.

" smiling " @ amazon stuff , Since they are hero members because they are so old in the forum , we should be super hero members because we newbies are still young to the forum.

Yes, I agree :D I never liked this kind of system. Just imagine 13 yo kid (a Hero Member) who calls 50 yo serious man (Newbie) with names like "kid", "greenhorn"...  LoL

'Newbie' is an accurate description for someone who is new to Bitcoin.

It's not an age-based descriptor. A 13-year-old kid may well know more than a 50-year-old man about Bitcoin, if he's been using it for longer or reading about it.

Well, so far the OP is illustrating why "Newbie" is a good term for the folks starting out. Completely amateur attempts to conduct business. But hopefully OP will learn...

I don't mind the term Newbie, let's face it your only going to 'live' with it for 4 online hours. It's not as if it's a big deal.

I think "being new" to a topic isn't that negative.
Being called a "newbie" ist just the noun of "being new", i don't care about that status.
The status doesn't affect your skill, does it? ;)

"Newbie" is a very established term for people new to a technology or an online community. It dates back to the early eighties. So it's not something to take offense in.

No offense here. New to bitcoin but not to the technology used for it.
