Title: Has the anti-smoking crusade gone too far?
Post by: bitcoin_bagholder on January 17, 2015, 11:31:32 PM
There's a movie on tv tonight called The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus. I looked it up on imdb to see if it might be worth watching.

It's rated PG-13. One of the reasons for parental guidance is it contains smoking. Cigarette smoking. Unreal.

Pretty sure there should be a coarse in front of that. Or as some like to say "foul".

When I was 13 I was continously masturbating, not so many time or money to smoke.

I think we have to forbid teenagers to see smoking-friendly media in the age 14-30, after 30 they should be free of risk...

Kissing is foreplay - it leads to full-blown sex. Children shouldn't be seeing that stuff either, eh?

No, because if childrens do full-blown sex they will make more childrens. We should grow up childrens insulated in a virtual reality machine, like in matrix, but without smoke and sensual images and people flying.

Movie starts in less than an hour. Will be watching for the smoking. If there were children around I'd have to tell them to cover their eyes, eh.

Its unbelievable really, I see more teenagers smoking now outside my daughters school when I drop her off in the morning than there ever was when I was at school 25 years ago. Cigarettes were much, much cheaper back then too and the advertising was everywhere. In the UK now shops have to cover up the cigarettes behind the counter with sliding doors in case the lovely shiny packets tempt someone to start smoking. They also print graphic images of dead people on mortuary slabs and people with horrific black falling out teeth and growths from smoking to try and put you off. Anyway gotta stop there going for a fag......

no.  i think the more people point out "smoking" in this or that, more people are gonna light up.  u do realize that anti-smoking campaigns are paid with by Philip Morris funds.  so anything to make people think of smoking is gonna cause more sales.
