Title: Bitcoin will not have an easy road
Post by: chek2fire on January 18, 2015, 02:52:19 AM
I like to remind to everyone that Bitcoin will not have an easy road. We are not even in the middle of that journey and imo this journey will be very tough. The old system will give a real fight to keep his status quo. I think we are in the begining of the real war against bitcoin.
Read here. This is from telegraph

Bitcoin is threat to sterling and may aid terrorists, warn banks

Obama Sides with Cameron in Encryption Fight

We must ask ourselves if we are ready to defend the community and this new economic era when the storm is coming.

The good news is that the attacks are mostly out in the open now.

Before they start an all-out attack on bitcoin, they will have huge problem in their existing fiat money system first

I'd say it's more likely that the former would need to be underway (visibly or otherwise) before the latter can be scheduled.  Unless dispatching Bitcoin and annoying peer2peer issues more generally is such a triviality that it doesn't warrant much consideration.  That's possible.

I agree. This is NO time to take a knee.

Ghandi never took a knee, Jesus never took a knee, and as far as I know, God almighty never took a knee!

I'd say step up and stop being a bitch and put some of your money where you think it'll make the most for you. Ok, that was a mouthful. If I was a newer onlooker, I'd note that the bear market that has happened for so long is either over or almost there so the turn around time is closer than say, if you bought in 3-4 months ago. Think about that for a moment. Sideways and up is on the way so the safety net is pretty much intact and you're certainly not exposed to what many where for the last year. The winning road is from here on out. Come back in due time and ask me for one of my addresses so that you can tip me for your good fortunes. I'm happy being your bar tender of wealth.

there are lots of problems with fiat, counterfeiting, qe, tracing/recording transactions. think about how hard they are trying to fix it and the results they've got.

how funny would it be if you were really gordon ramsay.

in all seriousness..  the people were given something in bitcoin.  a little more freedom, wealth and empowerment.  if bitcoin fails then let another crypto take its place.  preferably a grass roots, asic proof POW crypto that can be mined by ordinary people.

look at bittorrent.  they can't stop file sharing anymore.  pretty sure cryptocurrencies will reach that level too.  who cares if they have low fiat value.  the important thing is they're there.

Fear not!! I'm here to hold onto my bitcoins no matter what the price is. And if the price going to drop, I'll consider put in another buy order! We must hold ourselves together.

Actually, it's pretty good. It means the banks see BTC as something real and serious.

When bitcoin is successful, we will look back and find it is nothing matter to experience that difficulty!
