Bitcoin CEO denies masterminding billion dollar illegal drug operation Silk Road

Defense of Ross Ulbricht, the possible mastermind of Silk Road, has pointed out to Mark Karpeles, CEO of now-defunct Bitcoin exchange Mt. Gox as the person responsible for the billion-dollar operation of the online marketplace for illegal drugs while Karpeles immediately issued a denial.

In case the context of my original comment isn't clear - Bitcoin is not a company and does not have a CEO or a COO. By referring to Karpeles as the "Bitcoin CEO", the writer of the linked article has proven he is completely clueless about what Bitcoin is (and what Mtgox and Karpeles are). The only thing to do with such a bad article is mock it, which I did (by alluding to a humorous mention of a Bitcoin COO).

Yup. May be they tried to shorten the title and ended up with a completely wrong one.

It's not just the title - he is referred to as "Bitcoin CEO" in the body as well.
