Title: What are some reasons you think Bitcoin will grow in 2015?
Post by: commandrix on January 20, 2015, 06:55:18 PM
I'm keeping my eyes out for new ventures into the cryptocurrency world. But it would be interesting to hear what you expect of Bitcoin in 2015 (and don't bother commenting if you're just going to troll).

Well , big companies like Mozilla , Twitch , Microsoft started accepting bitcoin on 2014 . Let's hope that more companies will start accepting bitcoin (eBay,Amazon) and more people  will accept the idea of BTC and stop thinking of it as a scam because it's not .
We can't deny that some people are leaving bitcoin just because of the price crash tho . Basically sooner people accept idea of BTC sooner it grow

Besides BTC's acceptance, the people's awareness is also growing. Talking around me, more and more people have heard of BTC. With limited knowledge, which I can correct, some people are already able to criticize it!

Im yet still to see a local person I see IRL that can give a sound critique against BTC. The most they've heard is the name plus "its some sort of internet money thing", people is still clueless but yes its slowly happening. Its like teaching your mom how to use email all over again. We still early adopters.

More companies accepting it, more investment money, more crowd funding, more useful applications and killer programs using Bitcoin, more social media awareness, more mainstream adoption, more time to mature and develop the underlying technology, more resources and knowledge bases on the protocol and code base, more people reading Andreas book "Mastering Bitcoin", more people attending college course on Crypto, more investors getting to invest into the Winkelvii COIN ETF, more doubters turning into believers, more countries able to use and transact Bitcoin, more smartphone users downloading Bitcoin apps, more people turning to OpenBazaar as opposed to eBay, more users using Paypal to transact in BTC instead of Apple Pay, more.........

as today we are going to see big investments in bitcoin enterprises and in its enviroment, besides big enterprises are "playing" with bitcoin and its technology and it is expected that this year we are going to see really good news in that way.

we can expect a good number of new customers accepting bitcoin too.

The iPod is a new and better way to listen to music, iTunes better place to store it. Amazon is a great place to buy goods. Kindle is a fantastic way to read a book. Websites and blogs are a better place to consume news. YouTube and Netflix better way to watch the video. Etc.

Bitcoin need to do the same.

In 80,000 words written online by Satoshi Nakamoto, he makes about three politically vague statement. The focus is to get the technology to work, and make it a reason that bitcoin has been so successful in fact caused by the technology that supports it. Now the bitcoin users need to remember this parable.

Newegg, overstock.com, tiger direct and many others still take bitcoin.  I bet more businesses will get on board this year.  This and more infrastructure will ensure btc continues to grow.  I don't know if that will mean the price will grow.  So far, that's not been the result.

If you mention growth, my only concern is the adoption not the price. We have seen microsoft started integrating bitcoin last year. So for this year, I'm waiting for paypal to announce similar thing.
