Three of the world’s most regulated organizations – The New York Stock Exchange, USAA, and BBVA (an extensive multinational bank) decided to put their monetary resources into the round. Individual investors hailing from Wall Street participated as well, including previous Citigroup CEO Vikram Pandit and previous Thomson Reuters CEO Tom Glocer. This is the first time we have witnessed Wall Street make an investment of this size in a Bitcoin venture.
