Title: Using an old old laptop? Post by: vennardk on May 22, 2011, 04:06:27 AM I have two laptops that are super old, aka circa 2005. One is a Dell Inspiron 6000 and the other is an HP Pavilion DV4000. Both have integrated video cards. Is their an external video card that I could plug in and let these guys just sit int he corner running all day?

I, personally, pulled an old Dell out of the closet... it had a couple of PCI-e slots, and I am using that. Surely a similar machine to what I am using (A dimension E580 or something like that) could be had on eBay for next to nothing compared to some of the external PCI-e setups I've seen.
