Title: Re: Coinfunder campaign raising funds to overthrow Kim Jong-un Post by: Swordsoffreedom on January 23, 2015, 06:58:45 AM Sounds like a Scammer tag would be needed on this
Unless I see some action and drones flying into the DPRK Then we have other things to worry about ... Looks at prize tier you will receive a thank you and useless crud for giving me money And it scales Mumble I propose we set crowdfunding standards Now before we get a notorious rep for scams ... Title: Re: Coinfunder campaign raising funds to overthrow Kim Jong-un Post by: Divinespark on January 23, 2015, 07:14:02 AM That's hilarious
Why not raise funds to overthrow Putin or the Sauds while we are at it Title: Re: Coinfunder campaign raising funds to overthrow Kim Jong-un Post by: Elwar on January 23, 2015, 08:39:07 AM So far they haven't gotten any donations. If they actually pull this off and manage to depose the Kim dynasty, this would be HUGE for bitcoin. Imagine the positive press for bitcoin if it accomplished something like this. Maybe the FBI should use its seized bitcoins to meet their goal in one shot! https://www.coinfunder.com/project/view/id/1712 FBI would hate the idea that the power to overthrow a government's leader is in the hands of the people. Title: Re: Coinfunder campaign raising funds to overthrow Kim Jong-un Post by: btcrich on January 23, 2015, 08:50:57 AM I think someone watched "The Interview" a few too many times and has some very naive ideas as to the real situation in the DPRK.
Secondly... "The first objective in our mission is to supply involved North Korean defectors with the resources that they need to establish a safe communication network throughout the country." So are we sending defectors back to North Korea to establish this 'safe communication network throughout the country'? Only a handful of North Korean's are even permitted to travel within the country, among a huge number of other obstacles. I think the project creator is having a laugh or else is hoping that some ignorant fools might throw their BTC at this. Title: Re: Coinfunder campaign raising funds to overthrow Kim Jong-un Post by: botany on January 23, 2015, 04:06:51 PM That's hilarious Why not raise funds to overthrow Putin or the Sauds while we are at it Sauds? Why would you want to do that? I see them as being benefactors of Bitcoin in the future. ;D Title: Re: Coinfunder campaign raising funds to overthrow Kim Jong-un Post by: darkota on January 23, 2015, 04:10:38 PM Whoever's doing that campaign is 100% a scammer. To overthrow Kim, you'd need to overthrow China since they're the ones trading and sending supplies to North Korea. China has GDP of over 17 trillion and a very strong military(not as strong or high-tech as the U.S, but strong nevertheless). China spends more on it's military in a week than Bitcoin's entire marketcap is worth.
That fundraiser is an absolute scam. You guys are in way over your head haha lol. Title: Re: Coinfunder campaign raising funds to overthrow Kim Jong-un Post by: Nobitcoin on January 23, 2015, 06:01:15 PM Haha that made me laugh probably made Kim Jong-un laugh hopefully. You know that Korea can fire their nuclear missiles quite far.

You know that Korea can fire their nuclear missiles quite far. Not really, they have no long range ballistic missiles. North Korea is quite a poor country, one of the poorest. It's just that they spend almost all their money on the military(It's practically a military state), which is what makes them "appear" powerful. It's actually China, that's the powerful one, since if China cut ties with North Korea(Trading wise), it would fall practically instantly. Title: Re: Coinfunder campaign raising funds to overthrow Kim Jong-un Post by: RodeoX on January 23, 2015, 06:28:11 PM At least it's not the specter of "assassination markets" again. If regulators ever figure out what that would mean we have big problems. :-\

Title: Re: Coinfunder campaign raising funds to overthrow Kim Jong-un Post by: BillyBobZorton on January 23, 2015, 06:50:13 PM Lol this is crazy. Are they for real? and shouldn't they be doing this over tor or something? they are treatening Kim Jong un and their empire publicly.
Title: Re: Coinfunder campaign raising funds to overthrow Kim Jong-un Post by: gjgjg on January 23, 2015, 08:28:57 PM this would lead to more bad publicity than good: 'yes, we got rid of an unpopular dictator this time, but what happens when the funding goes to deposing of a popular dictator?' ask the world leaders

North Korea's leader is for the North Koreans to decide not for a foreign empire! Title: Re: Coinfunder campaign raising funds to overthrow Kim Jong-un Post by: jaberwock on January 25, 2015, 11:13:03 AM ONU and USA already shown they don't give a shit about what NC does with his people.
And as far I know there is no NC resistance inside NC that is fighting the government, they are all starving or in concentration camp or dead, so who would receive the money? |
