A pile of people are mining it at http://americancoin.altcoinpool.us This is the longest running stable pool for this coin. I see a lot of other pools announce but when I check them, their page is broken, not the altcoinpool. I do agree with dimfot that some attention should be paid to the difficulty retarget. Its hard locked at 2016 like bitcoin. This is problematic if someone comes along and hits it with a stupid amount of hashing then leaves the rest of us mining the next 2016 blocks with a nasty high difficulty. I am also setting up another permanent node which will be online tonight.
I have been in touch with Cryptsy and given them the new node information to rejoin their wallet. Come mine at americancoin.altcoinpool.us Anyone interested needs to start up their wallets to add nodes to the blockchain. altcoin node is 205.197.252.41 What would be nice now is for altcoinpool to actually be listed on the americancoin official web site.
