Block Erupter Prisma2.0 (Prisma) is a major revise over the original Block Erupter Prisma (old Prisma). The 500-Prismas-scale stress testing showed that the devices are running stable without unstability/overheat from which some of the old Prismas suffer. Protection against violent shipping is also added.

Spec and Manual
The specification is similar to the old Prisma, but there are some form factor changes:

size: 36.7cm x 16.4cm x 16.4cm
weight: 7.5kg
hashrate: 1.35TH/s to 1.48TH/s (depending on PSU output voltage and clocking)
power: 1.05kW to 1.25kW (depending on PSU output voltage and clocking)
clock: 230MHz to 260MHz (ranging from 11.5V to 12.5V of different PSU output voltage with full load)

To bid, please reply with the format:

For example, if A bids 200@0.2, and B bids 50@0.3, then after the auction ends, A needs to pay 0.2 each for 200-50=150 Prismas, and B needs to pay 0.3 each for 50 Prismas.

After the bidding ends, the winners will be listed. Each winner will be PM'ed with a Bitcoin payment address by forum id Phasebird. If some of the winners do not fulfill the payment request within 24 hours after the PM, the winner list will be renewed by deleting the winners who do not pay and shifting the rest bidders upwards. Then the new winners will also be PM'ed with Bitcoin payment addresses and required to pay within 24 hours after the PM. This process continues until all the Prismas are paid, or the winner list is exhausted.

Shipping, Extra Details and Customer Service
Shipping will be done within 48 hours after payment. Shipping fee is already covered in the price.
Shipping to US is via UPS or DHL by default.
Shipping to EU and other places is via DHL by default.
Please reply the payment request PM with what price you want us to declare, and what shipping
company you would like to choose if you do not like the default choices.

For every 20 Prismas, 5 ethernet controllers and 1 redundant Prisma will be provided. If you need more controllers, please pay 0.069BTC more for each. If you need less controllers, please pay 0.069BTC less for each.

If the number of defected boards is higher than the number of boards on the redundant Prismas, please contact Phasebird by PM or help@bitquan.com by e-mail for shipping back details. We cover free replacement within 180 days after receiving based on records from the shipping company.

Was the user "Friedcat" spelled the right way etc?  You should be able to click on their name and verify if it's the real Friedcat.  I do recall somebody impersonating CanaryInTheMine at one point, in order to scam.   Is that what happened?

It's a bit strange, yeah. I wonder who would push the price that way. I don't hope AM as an honest company has to do such things! Well it's some nice pocket money for AM, while getting old inventory off the shelves. Both very good things for gen 4!

I just received a PM from 'freidcat' saying I won my lot of 60 @ .52. I got pretty excited until I went to reply to the PM and looked at the same. Watch out for scammers guys.

So newbies registered to over pay for some gear..seems legit.

Monitor all the newbie accounts, if they all go dead we can assume its a scam and neg feedback the the op.

both those users are <10 posts and its really suspicious.

seriously, I was planning to bid but my absolute highest bid was going to be about 0.5BTC per unit considering the past technical dificulties and ~0.8w/gh efficiency. in comparison, the SP20 has better efficiency even at 1.5x the hashrate, and is only ~1.5btc/each

this strikes me as shady

looking back at the bid the only "legitimate" ones i see are:

252 posts, Sr. member

118 posts, member (Ive dealt with him and he is legit)

67 posts, member

and some bids by nangong up to 0.8/ea


Most of the bids are by users with <10 posts, and pkuphy registered today, bid over 1.0btc/prisma (which as i mentioned is ludicrous since you get get 1.5x the hashrate out of the SP20 with an order as small as 3 units and they are far more reliable - and a 15pack is even 10% cheaper)

Im interested to know how a brand new forum account will have access to 40BTC, but i guess that's phasebirds problem now. this auction was a shame - I have my doubts that the winners plan to pay

My first thought was some oversea big players with some cheap to free power. Still high bid was really around .2btc off the prisma price back in October. ??? The SP15 15pack wins hands down at that price and considering we are bidding with a minimum of 20 that's really the best comparison to use.

I might as well publicly declare it here: I'm building a .5MW farm, and these would be a nice way to get a head start on more machines. The title thread has the words 'Round One' so maybe we will see this kind of auction again. I enjoyed it for what its worth.

yeah the 15x SP20 is really the best comparison against 20x Prisma

a difference of 3TH/4kW/-0.5BTC  for equipment that is larger, cant underclock, and has an external ethernet controller. I dont understand whay the bid would be so high.

I can't see any reason why the bidding would get high either.  Personally, a SP20 is worth twice what a Prisma is worth (per TH/s versus per TH/s).  The SP-20 has a huge range of efficencies, a real controller, works on any pool (I don't know if they solved that with the new controller), runs like a champ (makes even Bitmain look like junk), keeps really good resale value and lets not forget about the smoking issues of the past. 

I don't think ASICMiner did anything shady, but those bids are not real.  Maybe it is just a competitor trying to mess with them, I don't know. 

What would be the reason for anyone to mess with this? Delay? Doesn't seem to matter much to AM since they should be able to sell them to the next highest bidder(s).

Just to create all of the problems we have here (make the bidders suspect foul play, create mistrust of ASICMiner, tie up the auction for a few days waiting for the fake bidders to time out so ASICMiner then has to go down the list, maybe by the time they get to valid bidders, the valid bidders are less interested and maybe will not pay, people will be less interested in future rounds due to the problems in the first round, etc).  Overall any problems that this auction now has due to the fake bidders might be a reason to mess with. 

I am not saying it would be a good idea for someone to mess with the auction, but someone is. 

However, this is just me guessing, I don't know anything for certain. 

P.S.  Personally I am now out.  The BTC I had for this auction I already spent and it would take me a few days to get the 8+ BTC again. 

Things like that hurt their auction...

We have seen this behavior before from others cleaning their tracks... But in this case, fc abandoned, and in my opinion, he won't touch his previous accounts not to created traces.  I think there are 2 outcomes: one, we never hear from him again, two he reappears on his own.
