Reviewing only the first 7 minutes I find more unsettling truth than not.  This could be said for the world.

Much of the same has been said in the Western produced movie 'Ethos.'

Reality is that North Korea spins this to their advantage and is more openly oppressive than any corporatist-consumerist combo.

The "Father of public relations," and nephew to Sigmund Freud, Edward Bernays is credited to have established the idea that the masses can be controlled by manipulation of their desires.
Bernays described PR/marketing success as catering to inherent desires and cultivating new ones (manipulation) that favor government and corporate interests.

Bernays goes as far to say that man is inherently weak and dark and should not be relied upon to ensure the safety and productivity of the world.
He suggests that authorities should leverage PR schemes to establish predictable behavior among the populace.

Did he also suggest an alternative to human-run government? 'Cause if "man" is unfit to ensure the safety and productivity of the world, that doesn't leave much choice to replace him with... Unless he meant literally males? Matriarchy might not too bad, but talk about "nanny state."

Well devised propaganda, but still propaganda.
Over here we're sucked in because we allow ourselves to be,
Over there you do not disagree.

Metapropaganda! Propagandaception!

I must admit I have somewhat of an educational fetish for stylistic propaganda as is common in North Korea (I even own this collection: http://www.amazon.com/North-Korean-Posters-Heather-Collection/dp/3791339672/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1342404383&sr=8-1&keywords=north+korea+poster) and in North Korea as a field of study (I've watched dozens of documentaries).

It was very enlightening to see from the other side, thanks for sharing.

Haha, it's true. US sucks, like every other country. Maybe even a bit more. Same is true for North Korea, Russia, ...
