Title: $1 --> $32 // $13 -->$260 // $85 --> $1163 // $375 --> ????
Post by: medialab101 on January 25, 2015, 12:32:32 PM

If the pattern holds, the next launchpad should be around $375 - $400.

Assuming, for the sake of argument, that this is correct... where do you see the next bubble top?

Bubble 1: x 30
Bubble 2: x 20
Bubble 3: x 15
Bubble 4: x ??

You are seeing patterns where there are none. Not unless it is a self-fulfilling pattern.

3750? I hope that is true. That is if going by current uptrend we can find ourselves reaching the 375 lauchpad

not before the halving or in case before the halving it'll come down as fast as it went up

Reward halving isn't for another year and a half.

There is still plenty of time to fit in one more bubble before that. Especially considering the protracted bear market that we've been in this past year.

Also, every bubble so far has "come down as fast as it went up."

Bubble 1: x 30
Bubble 2: x 20
Bubble 3: x 15
Bubble 4: x ??

20 is 2/3 of 30.
15 is 3/4 of 20.
We need x that is 4/5 of 15, ie 12. So the target is 375*12.

Not before visiting 80 tho ;D.

My take is we are going to 380 ish before another correction so its a bullish market, plus we have the Gemini and lunar thing going.

Also shouldn't you post this on the speculation board?

halving times are not certain. The year and half from now is just an estimation. The last halvings happened before than expected.

I think there will be a crazy bubble before x10

Assuming, for the sake of argument, that this is correct... where do you see the next bubble top?

Bubble 1: x 30
Bubble 2: x 20
Bubble 3: x 15
Bubble 4: x ??

Possibility 1:
Bubble 1: x 30 = 60/2
Bubble 2: x 20 = 60/3
Bubble 3: x 15 = 60/4
Bubble 4: x 12 = 60/5

Possibility 2:
Bubble 1: x 30 = 45-15
Bubble 2: x 20 = 30-10
Bubble 3: x 15 = 20-5
Bubble 4: x 15 = 15-0

Possibility 3:
Bubble 1: x 30 = 60*1/2
Bubble 2: x 20 = 30*2/3
Bubble 3: x 15 = 20*3/4
Bubble 4: x 12 = 15*4/5

Possibility 4: factor = 0 - 15/x² + 42.5/x + 2.5
Bubble 1: x 30 = 0 - 15/1² + 42.5/1 + 2.5 = 0 - 15 + 42.5 + 2.5
Bubble 2: x 20 = 0 - 15/2² + 42.5/2 + 2.5 = 0 - 3.75 + 21.25 + 2.5
Bubble 3: x 15 = 0 - 15/3² + 42.5/3 + 2.5 = 0 - 1.666666... + 14.166666... + 2.5
Bubble 4: x 12.1875 = 0 - 15/4² + 42.5/4 + 2.5 = 0 - 0.9375 + 10.625 + 2.5

Possibility 5: factor = first two of md5('0dd380d3+' + x), next two of md5 is the long term indicator
Bubble 1: x 30 = 3007e9dfd5fd0d62b0b6e337a09adb21 = md5('0dd380d3+1') -- Note the "happy number (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Happy_number)" 7
Bubble 2: x 20 = 2007f5456c39c5be33fe4922db9333e1 = md5('0dd380d3+2') -- happy 7 still there
Bubble 3: x 15 = 15dfc29ad7daae7c156fdc81a7235411 = md5('0dd380d3+3') -- happy 7 disappeared, disaster incoming!
Bubble 4: x 0 (ZERO!) = d2a4c8676ef2ce1f6349a6a8e771f7f9 = md5('0dd380d3+4') -- not a number anymore = Bitcoin down to zero because it stops to exists before the next bubble!

1-4: bullish
5: bearish

As you see, it's possible to produce different results depend on if you're bearish or bullish.

haha interesting perspective. Either way, Bitcoin (without considering the dollar value) has been and will continue to thrive. It is like the matrix moment. though with a different angle :D

¸the real question u need to ask yourself is, what will the price be in 5+ years.
give yourself the answer, is obvious, bitcoin is here to stay, and i doubt the price will be under 10k usd.

We have yet to see one niche of humanity take bitcoin as a primary payment alternative.

I think we do not see another big bubble until this happens (12 - 48 months out)

The next bubble will leave anyone that has ever sold ready to jump off a cliff.

I think next big bubble stops at 75,000. Why? because next bubble will have us all competing with everyone on the planet, not just a bunch of tech geeks. An 8 billion dollar market cap is a joke. A complete joke for the world's first real digital currency alternative.

Multiply by 100 and then go up from there. Bitcoin won't stop until it hits a trillion market cap, and will likely never drop below that again.

Bubble 2 wasn't a full cycle imho, it was just a correction on the way from 13->1163, the same as there was a correction during the runup from 1->32 (it roughly went 1->9->5->32)

see here (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=932059.0) for more!

In 5 years its guaranteed we'll be at 10K territory, or near 6 figures at least. Things will move so fast in the next 3 years.

1 trillion =~$47619/BTC
This makes sense to me (for starters) at ~10-15% of gold valuation

10K yeah right. It might destroy the economy, and will not even have buyers at that level.

We could keep going up to reach 400$ then 500$ again. From there the rise could go on.

Just a guess but I think this current correction will level off around $325-$350, then we go sideways for a few weeks. Then we pop up to $450-500 range followed by a correction back down, then eventually we blast off with ~ $375 as the base (1-2 months out?).
