Title: Why didn't Satoshi Nakamoto use LaTeX? Post by: Bizmark13 on January 26, 2015, 03:51:48 AM LaTeX is the standard typesetting system for scientific and technical papers. According to this (http://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/24p09t/clean_html_version_of_the_bitcoin_white_paper/ch9bi54) conversation on Reddit, the Bitcoin whitepaper didn't use LaTeX but instead used OpenOffice.org.

It's also possible that Satoshi was not necessarily a conformist. Title: Re: Why didn't Satoshi Nakamoto use LaTeX? Post by: MineForeman.com on January 26, 2015, 05:43:43 AM Satochi was also a windows programmer and LaTeX is a serious pain in the ass to get working in windows.

The fact that he wasn't comfortable (initially) with Linux and standard things like LaTeX hints at his non programmer/mathematician/physicist background.
