With todays countdown, I quickly bought 1 bitcoin 10 minutes before it ended for £202. 30 minutes later the fooking price dropped and I lost £30.

Lesson learnt  ;D

when time goes by, you will not care anymore if 100 £ or 300 £

I told my friends yesterday to buy at 229, and sell at the 300 peak, no one believed! I made money and they didnt.

Yesterday (24 hours before the launch) would have probably been a good time. By the time the launch came around the news was known and the price was dropping.

Yeah, I bought 1 bitcoin yesterday too for £167 : ) At least I didnt miss that train.

hold it for 1 year and then see how you do, you picked the wrong day to buy thats for sure, the price has gone down now though and the news is still the same.

Well, I warned people yesterday about big crash. it happened in the second of coinbase's exchange opening...

We all learned that we have seen the bottom.

I think it went up way to fast but if we continue this trend upwards it will be an exciting month.

If you sell while it's lower and it goes back up, you will learn yet another lesson.

Yep, short sellers crack me up.

I've been doing nothing but making small amounts of money these past couple of weeks, as others have said, you must be selling at a loss and badly timing your trades.

Exactly that, it's seems to be on a steady rise until now. It's better than what it was a few days ago. Just keep holding, I expect it to go back up to $450

That thing would be valid more than 2 years back. But its a different story now. Its hard to say bitcoin will reach 5k or 10 k, or even a million.

I guess it is the classic buy on rumor, sell on news.

But I guess bitcoin future is brighter today than yesterday.

I lost money :(. Just gotta put more effort in promoting Bitcoin!

with all the countdown and moon stuff it was clear that a dump would occur. Like when LTC was added to Huobi.

Buy on the rumors, sell on the news, not the other way round.

I prefer to buy high, then sell low. Key is- I make up for it by doing tons of volume.

Reached 300 Yesterday.. dropped to 260 today. Well.. Lucky that I did not buy any new coin. In fact, I never buy Bitcoin. I earn my Bitcoin from signature campaign.

The trendline is actually pointing upwards if you recognize this month's lowest as beeing a really low point even for the last couple of 12 monthes.
Of course the last hill was predictable  >:( and the slide down now hurts the indecisive spontaneous late buyers. Things like that wreck it for the wider adoption.

It's also not hard to figure that this is bullshit. Soon after vii's will develop the new exchange it will allow banks and wall street invest into btc in MILLIONS.
So don't be so pesimistic ;)

You are too concerned about the price. Look forward and remember that bitcoin is not for short term investment.

I seriously hope a real bull whale comes in and wrecks these baby bears that think they are hot shit because they can push around a little coin like BTC.  When I see a killer bear come in and wreck one of these bears for trying to short BTC I won't have a lot of sympathy.

Fell for hype, got burned, learned a lesson. Money good invested.

I sold some I bought at £150 yesterday for £50 profit each and bought back in at £185 today. :)

I am not considering buying btc any time soon before it's more clear which direction it's going to.

Don't sell and you don't lose anything. If you sell and then after that see the price goes up you will be a double loser  :D

Its a good decision but price surges can happen at any time and so fast that by the time you wake up the price is x3 of what it was.

Depends if you're an investor or trader

Trader buys bitcoins back then at $30 sells at $5

Investor buys bitcoins at $30 and holds, its $250 now; $1000 at its peak

Investors buying at $300 now could very well be $10k  years from now, while some traders will get burnt short term

I never fall for this anymore. I used to be very impulsive as well. But after a few times, you quickly learn to restrain yourself. ;)
