Title: Pool for a renter, leasing rig
Post by: mavericklm on January 27, 2015, 04:20:45 PM
Hi!

Is there a good pool as back-up for someone who offers his rig for rent?
The rig is not rented for like few hours per day...

Atm i'm on eligius and btc guild but i hate the luck on the first and the fact that both are merge mining nmc!

Thx!

WestHash, if your in the US, you can rent your hash. You can also use DFish for a PPS pool or CK Pool for a PPLNS payouts.

Well then for back up pool DFish would be my choice as you will get paid 96% of your hash in between rental periods.

A PPS pool is what makes sence for back up.

I use two depending on what's going on.  Either Ghash.io, which I know many think is the devil, but it's consistently up and running.
Or BAN (Bitcoin Affiliated Network) because it's the best return of any pool.  But they have had a streak of hard luck and are running behind in payments at the moment.

kano's pool can work he spreads the shares out long then most pools and charges .09 %   vs 4% charge from discus fish.

so as long as your rental off the backup of kano  does not last so long  that kano's pool has back to back 500% .99 cdf blocks the shares on kanos pool do not dilute to 0.

this means kano's .9% fee vs discus fish's 4% fee makes kano's pool a better back up. most of the time.    I estimate  that back to back 500% pools are 10,000 to one when you factor in the third variable of you renting long enough to allow that to occur.

i did not understand 99% of what you said but i thought about kano's pool for some time now
no merged mining with nmc, best pool owners....

the bad part is that my little farm can stay only 5 min on pool, sometimes! i prefer to keep a low rental price and have a constant income :)

its more of a rental site
you can set it as p=.01xxx whatever
the value will be the price per TH/per day
if it doesnt reach your threshhold you simply wont mine there and when it does you'll come back

I guess I misunderstood what he was saying.   I have rented at Westhash during the XPY frenzy and just never thought of it as a PPS pool.

There are private pools that can be rented out as per the scale you need and negotiate price if needed. You can setup the type of pool easily.
