Title: FaucetRunner.com | The best multicurrency faucet rotator
Post by: HlavacekMichal on January 27, 2015, 07:36:16 PM
Hello everyone,

I created a new faucet rotator called FaucetRunner. I did it mostly for my own needs, but I thought I could share it with community. It is not completely finished yet and I definitely welcome any feedback about improvements.

It contains ref links to most of faucets included, but I will use the money to cover server costs only (for now it runs on single dyno heroku, so it’s free).

FaucetRunner solves two important things I missed with other providers:
  • No registration, just enter your bitcoin address and click Run! (some of the faucets in fact need you to register, I can’t change that)
  • When you click “Next one”, there is already another faucet pre-loaded within another panel, so you don’t have to wait for faucet loading (except for first load, where it takes a bit longer, sorry about that). You will save up to three seconds everytime you click “Next one”

You can try it at http://faucetrunner.com (http://faucetrunner.com)

I have google analytics installed, but just to monitor incoming traffic. I want to be able to recognize some significant growth and adjust servers accordingly.

At this moment, there’s little over 50 faucets in FaucetRunner list, please suggest others if you want them added (I won’t add any pop-up and/or redirect faucet).

Thank you for trying out and reading this, and have a great day.

UPDATE 5/3/2015:
Because I've got too many faucets in system and some of the users reported that they would like to focus more on quality rather than quantity, I deleted the least profitable faucets from system. Also, please don't write me to add your faucet, if you do not match these rules:

  • Bitcoin - minimal claim is 100 satoshi and minimal overall daily payout is 2400 satoshi
  • Litecoin - minimal claim is 10000 satoshi and minimal overall daily payout is 240000 satoshi
  • Dogecoin - minimal claim is 2 dogecoins and minimal overall daily payout is 50 dogecoins

First of all, FaucetRunner isn't just another faucet, I wanted to join multiple faucets into one system capable of tracking last faucet visit to help you manage your visits in time, and also preloading them for better performance during long run. I try to differ from others by clean minimalistic design without ads (they are unnecesarry when you get a ref earnings from faucets), pretty decent server performance (which I hope I will be able to hold even when user base will grow), and what's most important to me, that it is alive project which I do mostly for fun and to expand my connection with bitcoin and community around. I'm always open to any feedback and I am willing to improve the site if it will be good for users.

That's my perspective. Sorry for the long post.

Hi. Sorry for the situation, I was just looking for a free com domains and faucet runner came to my mind and it was free to register. Why didn't you register domain without "the" in the first place? I really didn't expect to step on someone's toes with this but also I don't expect to gave up this whole thing just for a name collision. I mean, come on, we both can provide a great service for bitcoin community ;)

I have only a few posts on here - I literally inquired about purchasing a faucet rotator script in this past month on this site.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=672257.msg10064677#msg10064677

You registered your domain on the 26th of this month. I have been running my blog since November - like I said, not very nice.

I think it's a little more than coincidence. I didn't register both names because I'm not rich. You almost make me want to give up blogging - I just got made Bitcoin Ambassador on Pink Tussy yesterday, I am carefully building backlinks and writing articles:

http://i.gyazo.com/66b05a48aa95ddcf7a13529a0f5bfe5b.png

I honestly don't want to accuse you of stealing an idea, but your defensiveness about 'giving up an idea' shows that you are the sort of person who wouldn't care even if you did. We are competing for keywords in a very small niche - it's not cool.

So do I carry on with my plans for a faucet rotator and purposely be a douche, or what? I thought this was a friendly community.

Hello,

I don't suggest you should give up anything, and I think that we should discuss this thing privately, not accusing each other of anything here. I surely don't want to look like I want to steal anyone's idea. Like I said at the beginning, I just made myself a script for rotating faucets and put it on first viable com address available. I'm not trying to ruin you or your blog.
It's already past midnight where I live so I will gladly solve this with you tomorrow. I think we can make some arrangements to solve this. For now, just please don't be mad at me as I didn't know anything about your site.

Cheers, M.

Email me back  - edit tomorrow is fine. Your humble tone has definitely given me some hope - perhaps there is a compromise.

Big announcement everyone!

We've decided to form a partnership of faucetrunner.com (http://faucetrunner.com) and thefaucetrunner.com (http://thefaucetrunner.com) with admin of thefaucetrunner.com, and we have some additional ideas where to move the whole runner service further. For a start, I've add couple of new faucets into system, and I work hard to implement filtering by Payment Cache Systems (like MicroWallet or FaucetBox) and even try to add some other cryptocurrencies into system. Some exciting news on a way  :)

I was also thinking about referral system on FaucetRunner itself, would you like that?

Keep running guys, you are awesome!  ;D

M.

Hello everyone.

We have been working hard to adjust our runner to serve not only bitcoin faucets, but also some other cryptocurrencies as well. So I announce that we added support for Litecoin, Dogecoin and Peercoin. Hope you will like it.In the next few days I will add some of the faucets I know of.

Next week I plan to implement more performance updates so the site will run even faster that it does now.

Any other ideas where to move next?  :-)

Have a great run!
M.

Add my Faucet too ;D : http://googlefaucet.com

Would you consider rising a minimal claim to at least 100 satoshis? I have new rules since yesterday (in the first post in this thread). I'll be more than happy to add you then :-)

I had already did that many days ago. And now paying 102 Satoshi per 5 minutes which is 1224 Satoshi per hour ;)

Hi. I'm working on the new version these days with enhanced faucet management. I will review this, maybe there's some inconsistency between databases. I'll get back on this issue when I know more :-)
