I joined with my own miners @ ~7 TH and I have 10 TH rented for 24 hours.

Can you fix the share stats?

share stats will show once your Miner finds a share ! one day i was a few mins and found a share a other day it took a few hours it will show up!

Going to remove it until we get it sorted .

Hey Nolimitz84 glad to see you here. I remember you from that pool that went belly up.

 But I received my first payment and was surprised that it shows as one payment in my wallet even tho I am mining under two address. Both address belong to my CoinBase account and it must be that since both payments are part of the same transaction that CoinBase treats them as the same? 

I moved all miners under one wallet now. I see the one that had shares still shows on the list but only the DOA shares. I guess it will show until it runs @3 days? It looks like Nolimitz84 with his 37TH is sucking up a good amount of shares!

that 37TH was crazy !

we made it a whole 24hrs running without a stall or disconnect from network!

1) Total: 33 (Orphan: 3, Dead: 0
2) Highest peek in Hashes was in total Miners 47.75TH
3) POOL Server was at 100% CPU Usage 24hrs
4) 2 Blocks where Found!

Things we fixed
1) CPU Usage got it down to 43% at full load Wonderful news! less strain.
2) Removed dead code from page that did not work.
3) added more nodes to connect to ( pending reboot )

We hope to keep getting better results and share them with you all!

yes it was a restart for update to the CPU Usage but no shares lost and we all should be back and kickin

you earn shares if your Miner solves shares the payout come when a new block is found so crack them shares!

P2pool wont ever lose shares - they are in the p2pool sharechain on every node on p2pool, not just the p2pool node that found them.

... and just one minor thing ... every time you say "we found a block" you mean "someone on all the p2pool nodes around the internet, found a block" ... :P

We as in.. us. as in.. the p2pool. as in.. same network same thing no?  ;D :o ;)
We get our shares when block if found = YAY

He can code and he can draw some very cool stuff... of course I clicked on the "NSFW" one first :).  Very cool anime-styled art, kano.  The other one is an interesting mix of symbology, using Greek letters/words and Egyptian symbols with an anime flair.  I like it!

How about saving that wooden background jpg as a 55% quality, you won't notice the difference esthetically but your customers will notice the website speedup :)

I just wanted to thank this node for peaking my interest in p2pool but I have tried another area node and I get a better ping. I get 75ms here and 51ms at the other. I will check back and still use this node as a backup.

While ping is certainly important, it's not the only factor you should use to determine whether or not to point your miners to a node.  Take a look at the node's efficiency, their getBlockTemplate latency, and their fees as well.

I have and it does seem I do better at this other one but maybe it's just me thinking it.

Cool! I have a small 3" Keene dredge and spend summer weekends dredging.

in Illinois we get chased away to much by game warden to do any dredging i wish we could...
we are scouting old train depots and sheds with Google earth to hit them this summer... well that's the plan anyway  ;D

Indiana has great dredging rules. Either get permission from land owner if private ground/creek or stay in navigable water ways and its legal.

It's alive... it's just taking longer than expected to block... sure picked a very bad time to have a 500% block...

On the upside, if we found a block now I'd get 1.5BTC.  On the downside, I spent quite a few more coins than that on rentals this past weekend, so I've got a lot of catching up to do.

like wise seems like i should of put some effort in a pps pool also just to keep afloat arg... this will be a lesson for me to have my coins spread out next time...

Don't bother trying to setup/run a PPS pool for BTC - or pretty much any other coin for that matter.  Here's a little food for thought... if this same situation (a 500% block) happened on your PPS pool, you would have to have 100BTC in reserve to be able to pay your miners.

no no... i mean sspreding out my miners out to pps & P2pool = / i would never open a other pool it's P2Pool or Bust for the Chicago Team  ;D

Oh, I see.  The only PPS pools I know either charge a high fee (like Discus Fish at 4%) or have struggled to keep up with BTC payouts (like BAN).  Virtually every pool operator has gone to some other payout method.  Believe me, PPS is absolutely great for the miner since the miner takes on no risk... which is why most every entity out there running PPS charges so much for it.  Of course if you're Discus Fish and have over 70PH/s, you are making a pretty nice little bit of coin at 4% :).

I haven't mined on Slush's pool since I first started mining.  I tried a bunch of different pools before I settled on p2pool.  I mined on GHash, Eligius, BTCGuild, Slush... and always found myself back on p2pool.  Mostly it's because I like having control of things and don't like having to pay somebody else for the privilege of pointing my gear to their setup :)

it's funny cause that's the main reason we open the p2pool just days like these are the ones that bother  :-\ 3 days and counting lets hope for a break though today  ;D

I could have easily written this same thing as I started on Slush and been thru them all. I would stay on BAN if payments were on time, but am starting to like the p2pool.

Yeah, a PPS pool is certainly nice for a miner if the pool properly pays out, since the pool is the one taking all the risk.  Unfortunately for BAN, they've supposedly had their wallets compromised a couple times to the tune of over 100BTC and are now in a situation where they've had some bad luck causing payout problems.

As I, and many others have mentioned, PPS - from a pool operator's point of view - is just a poor choice.  You need to have a massive reserve of coins to keep up with payouts, and you are statistically doomed to failure because no pool can ever guarantee 100% or greater luck.  Blocks can and will be orphaned.

Yea but with p2pool you don't lose your shares so I just swapped to another closer to me.

no We did not give up Swapped to a large Hard Drive more space.. hashing on it now.

For some reason your miner was not showing up on the pool as hashing. I moved a couple of mine over to test it and they show up fine.

I remember using a Hard Drives, back in the day. Gramophone's too  ;)

Well that could be. But something was not right because their miner showed up on the list and showed its hashing speed but the node total hash only showed mine? But I enjoyed mining here by myself  ;) found 2 shares

I just rented some hash to get some shares as some blocks got to come soon.

lol wish we could i did how ever research the network and the bitcoin network stands at 305 PH/s p2pool only has 1.401 PH/s in that network... and slush pool has 9.602 Ph/s at the rate this is going i think we are better off going into slush or any other shared pool to gather bitcoins...

I mined a long time ago on Slush's pool and that is where I found my one and only block running my USB  miners. There was to many unanswered questions on short payments for me so I left. Its also a pool where you can lose all your mining time if you lose connection or internet right before a block is found. I really don't care for it much.

Mining on the pool now! Setup my butterflies there for now.

Wow been a while running a local p2pool in testing environment i been out the loop for a while have some catching up to do! hope everyone is well..

Feels bad so yes as you all notice the pool shut down a few years back and I was always kind of pissed about it we was doing well and I loved the p2pool node setup so to give you all an idea the zero fees did not work out well for me in the long run my isp did not like I was using up so much data at that time. Running the node and the mining farm caused a large spike in data usage I was charged allot for the use that being said it's not over I want to continue what we started then. Hope you all are well hopefully I will see you all soon with a new update!
