Title: How to solo mine LTC
Post by: film2240 on July 19, 2012, 10:54:52 AM
I'm looking into solo mining LTC on all my CPUs/GPUs between my 2 computers (PC and MBP).Question is what settings should I use for CPU scrypt miner and in reaper?Any help would be appreciated. It's mostly like what host, port and other settings I should use? What about port forwarding? How can I tell if my computers are solo mining successfully?

Also how much LTC is in a block? As solo mining only works well when blocks can be generated easily (low diff).

Thanks.

Run litecoin client in server mode and target ur miners onto it. More info - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=83371.0;all

Also how much LTC is in a block?
50 LTC / block, each block is generated at 2.5 minute interval, so for 1 day there will be 576 blocks or 28,800 LTC max.

CPU mining is kinda pointless now.
For Reaper settings, you can see Vorksholk's guide.

Depending on your luck, you'll get block (50 LTC) + transaction fee after a while.
