Your expected reward is the estimated reward. For it to turn into unconfirmed rewards, a block has to be mined by slush pool. For unconfirmed to become confirmed rewards, you have to wait till 100 blocks are solved ~ roughly 3/4 of a day. Your setup is going on fine, you can see the shares on the page and the hashrate there. However, GTX 660 is a very slow miner, if you want profit, go for a cheap ASIC. Even a USB block erupter beats it by a few times.

Ok thx,

But is it normal that it's more than 8 hours on estimated reward and it's so unstable?

Yes, the last block was found yesterday, 14 hours ago. It really all depends on the luck of the pool, the more blocks they find the more often the rewards but the rewards would be lower and vice versa. I guess the unstability is due to your GPU and other miners submitting shares resulting in less payout per share. However, the GPU will also submit share, therefore the estimated rewards will go back to somewhere near the original amount.

you have to wait for everything to be confirmed before your shares are paid out.

As stated above you need to wait. With your set up there will be not so big earnings.

It`s good to be active in bitcointalk, just please think about Subject you will have next time, try to use something meaningful.

your hashrate is probably too low

difficulty is also extremely high, don't bother mining

I agree, if You want to mine, try to purchase a ASIC miner.

Dude, you're doing it wrong ;D

Just go to Altcoin section and a low diff / high priced X11, X13, X15 coin and then mine it.
After that, you'll sell those altcoins for bitcoin.

it's 1000 times more profitable than what you're doing now.

This is cudaminer (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=167229.0). It utilizes the cuda cores found in nvidia GPU more efficiently than OPENCL(optimized for AMD). The performance increase is significant but would still be slower than a ASIC. Unzip the file and read the readme.txt for the instructions on the usage.

it sounds like he only has a gtx 660 though. he won't make much of anything mining any coin with only a single card. i think the gpu mining days are over unfortunately.  :(

Altcoins are cryptocoins created after Bitcoin. They are using some different methods of calculations which is not compatible to Bitcoin. Bitcoin uses SHA-256, most of Altcoins use so cold Scrypt methods.

You can keep mining for fun and to learn something new.

ASIC (not ACIS) are special purpose miners just for Bitcoin and SHA-256 based cryptocoins.

There are ASIC miners available for scrypt and some other algorithms too. ASIC also exist in products other than crypto miners, ASIC miners have ASIC chips specifically designed for some algorithm. You are going to make very low and insignificant amount of coins with a GPU but you are free to decide what you want.

Altcoins are not so much better, they're all speculative pump and dump copycat coins to Bitcoin.

That said, with the amount of small hash power you're mining with, they're the only coins worth mining in your case.

In order to really acquire/accumulate Bitcoin, you're better off buying them off a exchange.

If you're sticking to mining still, mine those alt coins, pick which one is hot at the moment here http://www.coinwarz.com/cryptocurrency then trade them for Bitcoin at an exchange like Crypstsy.

As chuckbuck said, it isn't much better. However, some alt coins are created to be GPU/ASIC resistant, allowing users to mine on their regular PC while still getting a good amount of coins. Also, there are alt coins who promote anonymity by building mixers into it, eg darkcoin. Or POS, proof of stake and allow users who have coins in their wallet to run it as node to verify transactions and earn coins. There are loads of miner available to mine it, depending on what algorithm is the coin based on.

it is not better than bitcoin, it can be easier to mine since the different methods and also the difficulty. the only thing about altcoins IMO is that you can gain profit from pumps and dumps which requires expertise ;)

GUIminer is only capable of mining SHA256 altcoins. GUIMiner scrypt is capable of mining scrypt coins. It really depends on what algorithm are you mining on. If it's a pos mining system, you have to rely on the wallet client to mine but you need to have some coins first. Alt coins announcement threads usually gives you the list of miner that can be used to mine that altcoin.
