Both Ghost in the Shell and Queen's Blade had later adaptations which I didn't really care for. I also like the Death Note series.

And from those listed I will pick inuyasha as the most interesting, it was entertaining to watch and serious to some extent too and had a nice additional season for the conclusion (I didn't get to watch Cowboy bebop and onepiece etc... has an amazingly large number of episodes/fillers etc etc making it good to watch if you have sometime to play around but not a "best" anime imo).

Then a second run called "Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood" started off where the plot from the first show diverged form the manga. Both were good shows, the first having a higher production value, the second a better story ending. Seriously check it out before judging others for watching good shows. We don't look down on people who watch south park or the simpsons, and anime is no different, it is just made in Japan. If they make thiat anime much closer to the manga storyline I think it will run long and no Naruto Gaiden will be born right now. I watched Naruto until Pein arc only.
