There have been many incidents reported over the past years of people throwing acid on women. It's not an acceptable form of behaviour, even as retribution, upon anyone. Especially in a way designed to mutilate in a sexually brutal way.

Both acts were pretty awful but the physical impact of acid seems like it crosses a whole other line.  Two wrongs don't make a right.

No sympathy here. He made the video without the knowledge and consent of his girlfriend, in the end tarnishing her reputation within the community. I hope that he quickly gets accustomed to using the tube.

If she had no idea that he was filming the situation then I slightly agree with you. That said, ruining a man's junkyard so to speak is quite evil, which is worse than rape and just short of murder imo. The former problem does not legitimize the latter by any stretch - unless in your imagination.

Don't do anything sex-related without consent from all parties. Don't do violence to other people. It's not that difficult - nobody should be filmed doing the nasty if they don't want to be and nobody should be attacked with battery acid or anything else.

Worse than rape? I put them on par with each other, but I certainly have trouble believing it's worse than the most physically, emotionally, and psychologically violative act someone can subject their victim to. Her knowledge of the filming is immaterial to me, although it's certainly worse if she didn't know. Her consent to film doesn't excuse him making it public. And her reaction isn't excused by the circumstances. She should definitely be in prison, and he should have been too, but I'd be fine with a prosecutor not prosecuting on the grounds that he's already been punished.

Uh, you know what battery acid is right? It's incredibly easy to get, all you need to do get some batteries and then crack them open and there's the acid for you, she probably just put it in a glass or something afterwards, it's nasty stuff, that's why batteries are usually pretty solidly built.

Doesn't even have to be car batteries or anything I suspect, but then again I don't know how strong the various acids would be.

Ya, those batteries can take such a beating though she had to put some work into getting it, you can't just open the top and poor it out, that's water. I could see if it was hydrochloric acid since people have that in barrels if they have a pool.

Attacked Humphrey Khoza with battery acid while he was drinking beers with friends at a tavern in Cork village near Hazyview, Mpumalanga, on January 17.

In the viral video that AENS has seen to verify the claims, Khoza is seen pushing the girl, who was in her school uniform, to the bed. She appeared not to notice that she was being filmed while they had sex.
