Title: Google Authenticator for Gmail, Coinbase and Blockchain Question for Iphone
Post by: viking02 on February 05, 2015, 03:47:35 AM
I have google authenticator for my iphone.  However, is there a reason i see the same code twice for each of these?  Example i would see 6 digit code for my gmail, then gmail again, then coinbase, coinbase again, then blockchain then blockchain.

Example say my code is 123456 for gmail, 234567 for coinbase and 345678 for blockchain.

It shows

123456
123456
234567
234567
345678
345678

Is there a way to delete the copy of it?  Thus why does it repeat?  I was going to delete the 2nd line such as 123456 but it said if u remove it, then i can't use google authenticator?  Really confused with this isse on my iphone.

There is an identifier right under the big number, mostly your login name or email address. That's all what's needed, you can delete the duplicate rows. Always print out the qr code and scan it from the print, then put the page in a folder in case you need to backup. If you do an iPhone backup with iTunes, you must encrypt the backup with a password, else your authenticator settings will not be stored.
