nvm, it's back online now. There was some serious lag handling all those orders. Gox really needs an upgrade

classic.mtgox.com always seems to work better for me when the main site starts to lag. Also the android app as a last resort.

When I went there it seemed like it was August '11 again.

After two 1000+ BTC mis-orders on the new site, I only use the classic site, which has better UI separation between the buy and sell sections.  The new site is just terrible UI design for volatility traders like me, where one often enters multiple buy & sell orders one after another.

Yeah. Had a couple of mishaps like that. Simultaneously buying and selling to myself. ::)

Or accidentally selling instead of buying, as sometimes the Sell Bitcoins tab switches to the Buy Bitcoins tab after placing a sell order. (Upon reloading the page most likely?)

"Well, there goes my earnings for the day." Not fun. Shame on me for being sloppy, shame on Mt.Gox for bad UI design.  >:(

Obviously, they gain earn fees from these bad trades. Still, any business that hurts their customers is not good business for any service.

The Order type: SELLING/BUYING column of the Your Open Orders tab could use solid color RED and GREEN backgrounds, in place of the indistinguishable alternating blue/white of today.

How can I best forward this suggestion to Mt.Gox? PM tux?

omg this.

this has happened to me soooooo many times. accidentally buying while trying to sell. also, sometimes it switches your bid/ask price to market value randomly, and sometimes that happens right before you place an order. sooo frusterating. I have lost hundreds of dollars because of this.
TY SO MUCH FOR SHOWING ME CLASSIC MTGOX. The new mtgox UI is TERRIBLE for day trading, or even trading in general
