Title: [Warning] Phishing attempt
Post by: Madness on February 06, 2015, 08:49:34 AM
Hi , I was browsing the forums and answering few people questions etc ... till I got this PM from this guy newminer7950 (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=67186)
I'am not going to give the full link so people don't get screwed then blame me . (I erased some of the link)

The zip contains the following files :

  • Wallet.dat
  • Password.txt  - Let's say you unzip it   on the Desktop it won't show up . and if you unzip once again it will tell you that the file exists on the deskop (here comes the part of the Ink , you are supposed to click it .. I did not for caution )
  • Password.txt.lnk

Alright , I just reported it , I just hope he gots banned because Negative trust won't stop him from Infecting new users and newbies who don't really know anything about the forum and how the trust system works

I just sent it to you . Please do not blame me if anything happens to your wallets or your Operating system , I'am not responsable for that .
I guess nothing should happen if you don't click the .txt or .txt.ink files , Unzipping shouldn't do anything .. still take your caution

Humm It seems like it's getting worst , probably BOTS or associated people or even the same guy with various accounts . Is it the same link that I posted on the OP ? If Yes I guess Theymos should do something by blocking that link , just like it transfer Newbies links to [Suspicious Link] or something like that .
