It's a good idea to write all passwords in paper.

Of course, keep safe these passwords, don't let other people to 'pwn' it from a web cam: ;D

do u know anything about the password? i searched and found that there's a place called Wallet Recovery Services. heres the link to there site: http://www.walletrecoveryservices.com

maybe if you know some of your password then can help you get it back but i don't know about a secondary password on blockchain, hopefully they can work on that too.

You can contact http://blockchain.info. They might be able to help you out. :-\

edit: Without your backup, they can't get your wallet either...

Thats only for desktop wallets or if the OP has a backup. It is impossible if OP secured the backup with double encryption.

OP can try to contact support or the password can be reset by using the memoric phrase first seen when creating your wallet.

You should state your issue to blockchain support team they can do something for it but not sure they will.
Try them raise a request there - https://blockchain.zendesk.com/

it's a feature available on blockchain, whenever you send bitcoins you'll have to enter your double encryption password.

op open a support ticket they will surely help you.

There is little you can do. Best would be to remember forgotten password, do you know lenght, or is it sentence, if it got numbers in it etc? This can help you remember.

Just be careful next time. Back up your password and your wallet. How much the amount on it?

That's why you always back it up somehow. Well I don't really know but I think you're screwed. As much as I know, blockchain doesn't save your password or anyinfo on their server, so they cant help you. How much did you lost?

btcrecover (https://github.com/gurnec/btcrecover) supports searching for blockchain.info passwords, including double encryption/second passwords (you must use the --blockchain-secondpass command-line option). It's free and open source, but it does require a bit of reading to get it up and running. The tutorial is available by clicking here (https://github.com/gurnec/btcrecover/blob/master/TUTORIAL.md#btcrecover-tutorial).

Let me know if you have any questions about it.

Edited to add: a number of individuals have commented that blockchain.info support will be able to help... unfortunately that's not true. Blockchain.info claims (and I have no reason to disbelieve them) that they have no access to either your main nor your second password.

I'd say your money is lost , try the recovery options , contact them etc but next time , use an offline wallet instead and remember passwords etc. hopefully you didnt lose to much try to see it as a lesson learned :l

Do you remember ANY details of the password? a part of it, the length?

If you have can remember some of it you may be able to crack it.

If you cannot remember any of it and it was a strong password you won't be able to crack it.

Do you have any old backups?

I am afraid if you can't reconstruct the password, the btc is lost
blockchain does not save your pw, it never crosses their server

nothing can be done anymore, go ahead and make another account, and this time with plenty of backup of everything, sometime i wonder if it's worse to get the pass lost or the bitcoin stolen...

If you have the wallet backup in your mail, Create another account on blockchain and import it might work. ::)

I believe the backup would also most likely be encrypted by a password. Even if he gets the backup, he would need password to crack the private key and spend the coins inside there. If you know the password, just import it like a normal wallet using electrum or multibit with webcam.

You lose your coins, that's what...unless you can remember your pw
Check old emails, you may have an auto back up file somewhere

If you don't have backup of your keys and you don't have password written somewhere, then sorry to say this but your Bitcoins are lost forever. Blockchain.info does not saves your password and they make this very clear.

I'm going to assume that the double encryption password that you've mentioned is Blockchain.info's secondary password that prevents you from sending Bitcoin out of your account unless you know the secondary password.

This secondary password can be decrypted using the same brute-force techniques that you might use to recover your main password.  If you're doing it by hand, you simply have to login to your Blockchain account with your Wallet ID and main password, then attempt to send Bitcoin to a new wallet.  This will bring up the prompt for the secondary password.

I typically encourage people to spend a couple of hours meticulously trying to brute force their passwords by hand.  This has a higher success rate than you might guess if you take the time to pull together a list of probable passwords.  We have documented this process here: https://cryptoassetrecovery.com/blog/recover-lost-blockchain-password/

Take care,
Chris
