I know that there is not in this section, but to protect it your money.
There are a lot of crooks and there is inherently no reduction instrument

This thread belongs in Bitcoin Forum > Other > Meta (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=24.0)

These are other threads in Meta with similar concerns and/or proposals:
2015/01/26Proposal: Disable "normal users" from being able to lock Scam Accusations (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=936185.0)Your proposal would extend this to all forum sections.
2015/01/13ban self moderator threads (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=922989.0)While on a different subject, a comment points out the practice of locking and self-moderating a thread in order to bump it up without discussion.
2014/03/12Topic locks (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=513213.0)A proposal to disable the ability to self-lock threads unless the user is added to a group allowing self-locking of threads.
2012/10/06Clearly indicate that thread is locked, to help warn unsuspecting users (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=115664.0)This would be a milder form of your proposal - warning users, rather than disabling the functionality.

Given the recency of the first thread, I would recommend continuing general discussion on self-locked topics in that thread.

Additionally, while not made explicit in your post, you may wish to post a thread in Bitcoin Forum > Economy > Trading Discussion > Scam Accusations (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=83.0).  However, a pre-existing scam-accusation against sam4aplex (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=732773.msg10385557#msg10385557) made 2 days ago exists within a generic thread.

Why did you delete my post pointing out that you have failed to ship anything to OGNasty, a reputable member on the forum who funded an escrow nearly immediately as you requested?  And not a single longstanding member has come forward to report receiving anything, prove me wrong.

Fishy...

no escrow no deal ... i call BS all the posts like "all items have been sent "

Has anyone here actually reported getting anything?  So far as I can tell OGNasty is still sitting on a funded escrow with no tracking number to show for it...

I have mentiomed showing proof of your items, but you never have responded. Also post proof of you selling on ebay. And all of your positive feedback is from newbie members. Your site has found to be a scam multiple times yet you never comment on the scam accusations.

I too find it disturbing that openly running scams here and locking self moderated threads is being allowed. I get that the forum doesn't want the liability of having to protect users, but turning a blind eye after a scam has been confirmed doesn't leave a good taste in my mouth. Not moderating possible scams is one thing, while allowing confirmed scams to operate is quite another.

Funny, you didn't delete the posts from the "newbies"(aka your shill accounts) saying that they got their items, just the ones that made you look bad.

I agree 100% on this...we should restrict newbie accounts and remove self moderation.

Pretty sure both Anandtech and Hardforum require you to have a few posts(like >20 or something) before you can post a thread in the trading section.  Might be a step in the right direction?

I'm newbie. And I do not mind the rules. Why destroy your forum people who are here for a few days.
It should be slightly adjusted rules.

Yeah, I agree. At least 50-75 as that will deter the lazy scammers at least. Setting up a post count limit will not get rid of all of them.

You can't perma-ban them, but if Bitcointalk begins to IP ban, then users will have to begin paying fees to sign up, which might start fending off some of the scammers.

I like what others have suggested. Sites like Anandtech and [H] require people to have x number of posts before posting a classified. Overclock.net is a bit tougher on newbies and classifieds, and require 35 "rep" before users can post a classified. Rep is earned from posting useful posts, sort of like upvotes on Reddit, but they seem rarer to get.

Maybe a reputation system similar to OCN, and requiring a reputation point count >= 15 would cut down on these scams. I know it would take a lot of effort to implement something like this, and some people wouldn't like it, but it might be a decent solution.

Please note that the scam thread that aplexfarm.com was added to is run by some mad man lol . . Apparently according to him  I run 30 scam websites and have made millions of $$$.I am not a scammer , not worth millions $$ and I have only ever bought 5 domains in my whole life. Please read the scam thread to understand how crazy he is . . . and then you can try understand what I have to deal with as a small business owner.

Ebay is different. You can get your money back from them if the purchase is not as is or described.

It's called spamming. :/  Imagine if everyone did that, we'd just have a ton of topics fighting for the top spot all the time instead of being able to tell when something new actually happens in a thread.  Not that you're legitimate anyway so I doubt you care, but as a general rule you shouldn't be bumping your own thread if it's still on the front page.

I have 30 ipads listed on ebay , 30 is the max number of items I can sell at one time :)

If i was not legit then this would be a crazy idea , no ?

I still don't really understand the scam accusations . . .

Am i a spammer , yes . . . will I do anything to make a sale . . . well yes :P

a scammer I am not :)

Why don't you prove you get sales. I doubt you do. There are multiple people saying you are a scammer. Any one with a brain will see the negative trust and go away. Show pictures of proof or stop saying that you get good sales here.

I took care of it, but the problem with this is, people will usually report the bump itself, but when they delete the bump to repost it, guess what happens to the report? So make sure you report the original post or a post that isn't likely to get deleted, not the bump itself.

My understanding is that people with scammer tags (when they were still around) were not able to edit or delete their posts. Why not add starting a self moderated thread to that list and implement these restrictions to users under certain activity levels.
