You should have a giveaway to test your site. A lot of sites come and go so many people find it hard to depart with their hard earned bitcoins.

Simple interface but not interesting.
0.01 minimum bet for a dice site is too big.

How exactly is this a dice site ? I can't seem to bet on  any number. It just shows betting for odd/even numbers.

very simple

and the resulting transaction number  : 159f32b9d46cf634f312622241d15c88523db7b357ade097dcdb25450247d053

The minimum is very high for a new site, there has to be a trust factor first.
It will be very hard to get known if people can't test the site without trusting u with 0.003.  ;)

It will be a good step to lower your minimum bet to 0.001 or lower and improve your site design. There are a lot of gambling site, which allow their player to bet as low as 1 satoshi, have a great design, and offering free faucet.

"Why would we choose your new site?"

To add some more information: AFAIK it's relatively easy to calculate your own transaction IDs. That's why all on-chain dice sites use a daily secret combined with that ID.

So: it's easily possible to hack this holydice.com website OR it's just a scam anyway.

I don't know if you understand Nico's post, but you should try to or you will lose a lot of coins if you relaunch this game.

Here's how to cheat at it:

1) back up your bitcoin-qt wallet
2) turn off your internet connection
3) place a bet
4) check if you won
5) if you did, turn on your internet connection to let the wallet broadcast the winning bet; goto 1
6) if you didn't, quit the wallet, restore from the backup, restart the wallet, goto 3

If you're comfortable using raw transactions, you can do the same thing much more conveniently.

The main point is that you can see what your transaction ID is before deciding whether to broadcast it or not.

So you can tell whether you will win before you decide whether to play!

OP says "%0 house edge". Payout should be 4x since chance of winning is 25%.

But since two of us have explained how the game is trivially easy to cheat and OP keeps on running it, I can only assume he has some "other" way of profiting from it...

Beware!

You dont understand ? On odds 24% profit should be 4x and you have 1.5x this is tricky and unfair.

Title: Re: www.holydice.com/
Post by: holydice on February 12, 2015, 12:07:30 AM
But this is not ok you have 24% chance to win 1.5x of bet.
Other site have normal odds.

OP says "%0 house edge". Payout should be 4x since chance of winning is 25%.

But since two of us have explained how the game is trivially easy to cheat and OP keeps on running it, I can only assume he has some "other" way of profiting from it...

Beware!

honesty wins :)

You seem a little crazy.

1) Your site says the chance of winning is 24.714%. But players are picking between 4 equally likely outcomes, so the chance of winning is 25%.

2) You claim a 0% house edge, but pay out only 1.503x. That's a house edge of 100 - 25 * 1.503 = 62.425%. That's the second highest house edge I've ever seen in Bitcoinland.

3) You seem to have ripped off the bet choice layout from satoshidice.

4) You use "Bible" in place of logical argument. When someone tells you that there are fatal flaws in your site, "Bible" isn't a suitable response.

5) You continue to run the site even though I have posted a detail description telling people how to cheat.

So what gives?

"Bible"?

After pointing out how the game is exploitable and the house edge is incorrect, I received the following two private messages:

https://i.imgur.com/nxXZ7Nm.png

The link in the first one (https://encrypted-tbn3.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcTFnUErc4eCv_Cl8txuAFbudrjaMIvo4OpAJAT8epNaBETn7LRv)  seems to be an ad for the movie "Pusher" (2010) (http://www.imdb.com/media/rm134255360/tt1082075). Maybe it's a threat? Maybe he's going to make me watch a movie that only gets 6 stars at IMdb (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1082075/)?

I'm not sure I understand what he's asking me to be honest about. It *is* possible to cheat, the edge *isn't* 0%, and the bible *isn't* a rebuttal to such facts. If you feel I'm being dishonest about anything, please point out specifically what.

OP has asked me to remove my negative feedback.

In order to do that, I need to understand what's going on here:

1) why is the chance of winning shown as around 75% when it's really 25%? You used to show 23% or something as the chance of winning. Now you've removed the number but left the green bar indicating around 75%:

https://i.imgur.com/5X1NA0F.png

2) why is the payout only 1.503x?

3) how can you continue to run a site that is easily cheatable?

4) why hasn't this winning bet from 2 days ago been paid out?
