I've been asked to serve as escrow for these products.  Please PM me to arrange escrow once a deal has been agreed upon.  I will only ask you to send funds to the address in my signature and I require a 0.01 BTC minimum donation (or 1% if it is higher) for the service.

These do look nice, but why the dramatic decrease in price from some of the other ones I've seen posted?  And so to get a QR code we just would send it to you and you carve it on the back?

Also nowhere do I see these called "handcarved" like the other ones, or ever "carved" for that matter.

Also nowhere do I see these called "handcarved" like the other ones, or ever "carved" for that matter.

The decrease in price is because these ones are a ton easier to make. The only one that had to be carved was the original one. I am able to pretty much mass produce them using a Carver Duplicator from Gemini Wood Products (http://wood-carver.com/) its basically a router attached to a fine point pencil shape. It only takes about 15 minutes to make each copy then about another 20 minutes in cutting them round and sanding out the details. I recently upgraded from my home made carver duplicator to a commercial setup because i have had a ton of people messaging me wanting me to make them their own little mini coin lines so they can have their own coins to sell without the giant minimum orders from the mints for metal ones. The detail that the commercial one is able to reproduce is 1000x better than my DIY one was and i wanted to do a limited production run of something before i started doing it for the people who wanted their own coin brands made. Also another reason they are cheaper is they are much smaller than the other collection was, most of those coins were 10 - 12" round and 2" thick. These ones are either 4.25" round and 1" thick or 5.25"-5.75" round and between 5/8" and 1" thick

For the QR code, i just need a jpeg, .gif or .png copy of it. (BIP38 ENCRYPTED KEYS ONLY PLEASE) I dont want to be responsible for peoples loaded funds, and then send me the bitcoin address you want on the back as well

Here's a short video on how a carver duplicator works for those that were curious (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZzbPzScKN3Y)

Thought there will be 10 coins made for 2015

There were only 10 of the unique designed large coins made for the 2015 collection. Those coins were tailored to the clients request as display pieces.

These coins are pretty much carbon copies of the same design, more like the Titan Bitcoin's or the other metal coins. They are much smaller, not near as thick, and beyond having a QR code and address able to be put on the back, or the option for metal overlays on the design, these are "production" coins meaning semi-mass produced. . A small batch for Trees For The Future, and something to show the interested clients how duplicated designs look and work as i have been getting a lot of requests for limited production runs for 10-100 coin orders of a user submitted design.

Can you make one in walnut so it can match with my decor?

Can you make one in walnut so it can match with my decor?

If your ok with Black Walnut i could have one done by the weekend, Its the only walnut i stock besides Walnut Burls which would be considerably more expensive. If you want regular walnut it would take me a week to get my hands on some that is already kiln dried. Seeing as Black Walnut is considerably cheaper than the exotic woods i could probably make you one a little larger too. If you wanted one with a gold overlay to accent the black walnut i could do from 10" on down for $130.00 as the original is 10" and i can only scale down not up yet. Shipping to the US on anything over 5.75" is $15.95

If you want regular walnut just let me know and i will find some.

Sure can Bob, it's 9 p.m. here tonight but i will call some of my old venders first thing in the morning and see if i can get a piece of kiln dried walnut shipped to me right away.

Do you want it one of the standard sizes? Do you want it with or without the "trees for the future" brand on it? and are you going to want a QR code and address on the back of it?

Why is your Trust really bad? I was wanting one of these.
Because Nubbins, self proclaimed "scambuster" decided unilaterally that he could not have possibly carved any of his pieces by hand and started a mob which proceeded to attack WC based on those accusations and speculation alone, with no evidence of wrong doing and all of his actual customers satisfied. It basically boils down to drama seeking behavior and an attempt to slander his reputation. I have traded with WC and he delivered what was promised. If you are still unsure, escrow is available with OGNasty.

Do you have any videos of carving some of these?  I have dabbled into handle-making for knives, and really appreciate the amount of time and work that goes into good wood-working.

The only one that was hand carved was the original. I made these as a test of my new Carver Duplicator from Gemini Wood Products (http://wood-carver.com/). I have had a lot of inquires as to making people custom limited production runs of their own wooden bitcoins as it is more cost effective then metal when you factor in minimum production and all the die fees and such. I had a home-made carver duplicator so i could replicate an original carving but it was not the best for smaller and finer detail so i bought an upgrade and wanted to test it out before i started doing production for clients from the forum here. These coins were a test production run so i could scope how fine of detail the new machine could replicate before i offered the service to the clients who inquired about it.

Here's a short video on how a carver duplicator works for those that are into woodworking and were curious (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZzbPzScKN3Y)

Darn, I was hoping to see some hand-carving, not machine work.  Thanks anyways!

Sorry about that.

I had posted a ton of hand carving videos but the kids that started the riot a few months ago couldn't be proven wrong so they went on a spam campaign reporting them to youtube and managed to get them all removed, and my account on youtube banned, all because i had the radio playing in the background. Like the quote in my signature says, arguing with strangers on the internet is a fools game and i am too busy to try to keep up with a bunch of 16 year olds with unlimited amounts of time on their hands.

I have since started a new youtube channel as for the time the other videos were up they seemed to be quite popular and there were a group of people who were genuinely interested, although i cannot share the channel here because of the previous incident with the kids here. Maybe in a few more months when i have no further use for this forum i will give you the link if your still into woodworking at that time.
