I do check kraken or coinmarketcap at least once a day. Usually during the morning when drinking my coffee or before bedtime. :)

Almost every hour except when I'm sleeping. The first thing when I woke up is to grab my phone and reload the coinmarketcap page before I get on to the other daily chores.

I do not check price at all. There are threads here telling you the price in the title every day. May be when price move so much and I need to verify the price quoted in the posts, I will check the price on google, more than once a month and less than once a week.

I usually check the preev value in the evening when I am back home.

I had long periods when I occasionally checked the price on coinmarketcap. After that I started leaving bitcoinity running all the time. Nowadays I'm not sure if it's healthy watching the price constantly change on bitcoinity. It's a bit too nerve wracking.

It would be kick ass if I could check the price in sleep as well...lol

I'm very surprised, come to think of it, that Bitcoin Forum doesn't have a ticker at the top of the header...I mean really!

I usually check about 2-8 times a day, but it's mostly because there's a ticker on my site, and I'm refreshing when I make changes, so I take a glace. I'd probably check 1 - 2 times a day if I didn't see it throughout my day anyway.

I'm not. The purpose of the forum is not to show the price.

I thought the purpose of the forum is to discuss Bitcoin and all things related? Seems to me a ticker would be quite useful so we could keep up with it while on the forum instead of multi tabs.

I check it pretty frequently, but not minutes or realtime.  

I have one tab for Preev.com and one tab for Bitcoinwisdom, in case I want to check the intraday chart.

So for me personally, I'd say once an hour.

Usually depends on the swings. The past few days maybe 4-5 times a day.

When i started though i was checking bitcoinwisdom at least between 2 - 8 times a day probably more lol had abit of an addiction to checking to be honest but sure we have all done this at a point or another..

I don't care about the price and I have no plan to sell my btc till next few months , my concern is how to get btc as many as I can.

realtime, i even dream about it once in a rare while.

Mostly something around 5-6 times at day.

I have the BitSpotty app on my iPhone that shows the price on the icon on my main screen, and on my Mac I have Bitcoin Ticker that shows in the menu bar... so I happen to see the price about 50 times a day.

I checked the bitcoin price everytime I open my wallet .  ::) No vote option for that

This might sound funny, but I rarely check what the price is.

I do however have a idea where it's going, based on the amount of Satoshi faucets like Freebitcoin pay. When it's near $200 it's paying about 1000 Satoshi per hour...  ;D

You actually also do not have to look at the price, because the trolls and negative people on forums increase, when it's below $200 and then they crawl back to their holes when it skyrockets.  ;D ;D ;D

I think I can safely assume that the sentiment has not changed much because the results of this and previous poll (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=592886.0) are more or less the same although we are in different times with different price actions (and many other different parameters).

I only ever check the price when I see threads on here asking what happened to the price  ;D. I think everyone gradually tapers off how often they check the price after they've been here a while.

I check the exchange a few times, mainly to see if the limits of my buy/sell actions have been met :)

It is not as much as I check my wallet for incoming coins, that would be another poll :)

With me it's quiet the opposite :)

Do you actively trade? Maybe that's why. I find with long-term hodlers they usually don't care that much about the daily price.

I don't really trade, it's more experimenting a bit with very low volume.
If I look back I'm more of a BTFD kind of person looking for a moment to spend some satoshis when the price has gone moon.

I do a lot of research in price action anyway. I try to understand price action and all it's concerning parameters (mining, adoption, transactions, etc..)
I mainly search for buy patterns and when I think I found one, I buy :)

I am checking price of bitcoin once a day in average.

I personally checking btc price just once per day or per two days :)
but if im in trading coin or trade altcoin/fiat to btc, i always check btc price 5 times per day ;D

It's like every hour or less for me , since my bitcoin checker on my mobile always keeps me updated

What does the "real time" choice mean?

i check the price every time i come online wethr its 1 time a day or 10 time a day if i am not coming online i dont check for weeks however i dont need to check but still i just check for the sake of curiosity

some websites tells you real time price means if you keep open the page the price will be updated more often and you will see latest price moving even in satoshies

No, that's not what I ment.
Realtime is reserved for bots because they are the only ones which can check the price realtime.

There are bots on this forum, I just added it for fun though.

I normally have the Cryptsy graph open, it updates quickly.

The same is done for any coins I mine/trade.

I used to check it a lot more, and it was a lot more fun, when the price was going up rather than trending down!

It seams that most of the votes stayed the same, but you should wait for the eventual rush, and then put this poll again, it would change extremely.
Since the price is wobbeling around 200-250 and trending downwards for more than a year, people are not so optimistic, but when the bubble comes its practicly impossible to turn eyes off from bitcoinwisdom graphs.

Lol i have btc price which is updating every 10 mins on my phone lock screen and bitcoinaverage always opened in one tab. So i voted for realtime :D since i know what price of btc is at any given moment :D

i dont need to check the bitcoin price.
i just need to look on the forums for panic to know if it has dropped or "to da moon" posts if it has risen.

but then again i have more than enough stored to not need to care about the fluctuations, even if they drop to $10 a coin im still rich
