Title: User spamming the same post
Post by: jeffhuys on February 13, 2015, 04:26:37 PM
First off, excuse me if this is the wrong category to place this in.

User Blazin604 (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=302265) seems to be spamming the same post constantly. Is this the right place to report this?

Yes, though you can report the posts as well at the bottom right.

I think the easy way is to use the Report to Moderator link at the bottom of a post. When the report page open you should put a line like this: Duplicate posting in multiple boards. This because Blazin604 (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=302265) apparently violated the No duplicate posting in multiple boards (except for re-posting it in the local language boards if it's translated) rule.

Edit: If OP wish to grasp forum rules, a good way to do so is reading the Unofficial list of (official) Bitcointalk.org rules, guidelines, FAQ (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=703657.0) from mprep (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=51173).

Just report him, usually if it's blatant spamming then there's really no need to even create a thread, I've caught many bots and dodgy users without ever having to make a single post, they're not very subtle most of the time.

Now lock this thread since you've gotten enough replies that clear things up.
