Or, if you do you want to store it in the sheath, I would place the blade within a thin plastic bag or something (or cellophane) and then in the sheath for long-term storage. This is because leather contains moisture which can (over time) contact the blade, and the blade is high carbon steel. I store it in an vitrine. Not in the sheath. And I don't use it.
