Post by: lottery248 on February 14, 2015, 01:15:51 AM
pls ignore about the mycoin.hk bankruptcy first.

anyone wanna promote crypto currencies in Hong Kong? Hong Kong isn't good about bitcoin, plus it will encourage people worldwide to use bitcoin if promoted. CoinFest is used to promote the heritage of crypto currency. if you don't know what is CoinFest, then coinfest.org (http://coinfest.org)

Everyone takes care of their own CoinFest, pretty much. We look for sponsors, and some organizers have been known to pay for expenses out of pocket. The Vancouver node did choose to give support to the African nodes, but the African nodes exist in more dire circumstances, and we don't have enough funds to lend additional support.

It doesn't really take much work, though. In many cities it's just a simple Meet Up gathering.
