Title: He can't be that stupid....
Post by: Sage on February 15, 2015, 10:19:45 PM
Here's the site of the IP address that moved Bter's coins...

IP: 46.28.204.193

https://coingavel.com/

"The 7120 Bitcoins are distributed equally to 7 accounts, all of them were operated from a Swiss Based IP  “46.28.204.193” which is hosting a crypto related website, which is very shady that has Polish as base language, https://coingavel.com . Which we get at the conclusion that they’ve used this website server as a proxy by tunneling their SSH connection and create an SOCKS5 proxy. We also found a German Based IP that has done all the distribution to all these 7 accounts, “178.254.34.161“. "

No hacker could possibly be that stupid.

I smell a setup.

Your thoughts?

The IP listed on bc.i has next to nothing to do with the origin of the transaction. Please dont harass someone that is just relaying a transaction.

No, it's just the IP address of the Bitcoin node from which blockchain.info happened to see this particular tx for the first time. For various technical reasons, it has (with 99.999% certainty) nothing to do with the hacker's IP.

Is it possible that the hacker used that server without being the owner?

I mean the hacker also hacked that server

I am sure he wouldn't have been that stupid. Even if he did, there would be no proof in the end linking anyone to the funds.
