Here, i made this table for know when a rig is unprofitable.

The $600 is what card? My 7970 is hitting 620M easily and it was just over $400.

how long is that?

well obviously it depends on how fast difficulty rises.. .but accordign to that, i've got a while yet. we're just over 2 million difficulty, and this shows 9.6 mil as the point 350 mhash is unprofitable. ...course that varies with electric cost, exchange rate, power use of my rig, etc... if it weren't for the impending ASIC's, it could be a year or more before i was unprofitable. course i fully plan to upgrade before it's an issue...

great, how much watts are you pulling? People who want to mine but have high electric cost should be able to invest with GPUMax or something i think it is, where they pay for someone else to mine, somewhere that has cheaper electricity cost

last time i checked with the kill-a-watt, it was something like .36 kwh if i recall. i just moved in with my brother for a bit, so i don't know the electric rate off hand...

yeah 1mhash/watt is barely profitable, you need to throw another card in there, don't you have another slot?

yea. mind you this is my main PC - the other card is an nvidia i use for gaming and whatnot. when i built this guy three years ago or so i hadn't heard of bitcoin, so mobo slots weren't a primary concern. i'm pretty much a sideline watcher as a result. until i can get some fpga/asic. kinda waiting to see how that shakes out while i save the money i'd need. (the job i start tomorrow ought to give a kick in the pants to the savings!)

good definately more efficient if the COMP is already on for other uses

That BFL Mini looks pretty nice, especially because uses very little power and is cheap. Way cheaper than building a computer.

With the BTC per block going from 50 to 25 in December (maybe November) would you be willing or want to do another sheet reflecting that effect with the known data you have listed?  I am sure difficulty will be higher but it might give us more info on what to expect.

Thanks for the sheet dude, not sure how to add new rows tho - complains about the range being locked, might be better to have the whole row editable. Very useful none the less :)

I don't understand why is the BFL Single SC Mhash/sec =40000/86. Why is it divided by 86...

edit: I was looking at a different spreadsheet, it seems to be working in the unlocked one. Thanks for the interesting information...
