Title: University Courses Post by: initiv on May 24, 2011, 04:19:42 AM I'm considering "selling" Stanford University courses. I have the following:
Aeronautics and Astronautics Mechanical Vibrations AA242B Farhat, Prof Charbel Techniques of Failure Analysis AA252 Murray, Steven James Product and Systems Development AA253 Weiss, Stanley Dynamics and Control of Spacecraft and Aircraft AA271A Rock, Stephen M Bioengineering Global Biodesign: Medical Technology in an International Context BIOE371 Yock, Paul Biodesign Innovation: Concept Development and Implementation BIOE374B Yock, Paul BioMedical Informatics Translational Bioinformatics BIOMEDIN217 Butte, Atul J Civil and Environmental Engineering The Energy Seminar CEE301 Computer Science Computer Organization and Systems CS107 Zelenski, Julie Diane Introduction to Probability for Computer Scientists CS109 Sahami, Mehran Introduction to Automata and Complexity Theory CS154 Trevisan, Luca Computer and Network Security CS155 Mitchell, John C Advanced Topics in Operating Systems CS240 Engler, Dawson, R. Design Methods: Quality By Design ME317B Beiter, Kurt Andrew Political Science War and Peace in American Foreign Policy POLISCI110Y Schultz, Kenneth Aaron Statistics Modern Applied Statistics: Data Mining STATS315B Friedman, Jerome H Google the courses to find out more about them. They're all a quarters worth of videos. Some are available for free, but most aren't as Stanford gets people to shell out $1000s for them. In the interest of releasing the knowledge and making a few coins out of it, I'm considering selling them. Anyone interested? Title: Re: University Courses Post by: grdryn on May 24, 2011, 12:11:01 PM there are a couple that I'm possibly interested in...any idea what your asking price would be like?
Title: Re: University Courses Post by: charlie on May 24, 2011, 12:21:35 PM Make sure you have the legal right to do so (Copyright is a HUGE sueing factor in US)
But yeh how much? Title: Re: University Courses Post by: initiv on May 25, 2011, 04:44:10 AM Make sure you have the legal right to do so (Copyright is a HUGE sueing factor in US) But yeh how much? I don't have the right to do this. It would be like uploading a movie, except here the RIAA is the university. I'm probably just going to just have a donate link. That way I can educate everyone for free while being compensated for my effort fairly. Any ideas on how I can upload GBs of videos without it linking back to me? Torrent is the last resort. Instead of selling some jackass monopolist's stuff, help me make an education video on basic sorting algorithms in javascript: http://forum.bitcoin.org/index.php?topic=7544.0 |
