Title: Very low mining rate Post by: VileAngle on February 18, 2015, 10:46:17 PM I recently built a PC for gaming that's equipped with an EVGA 1GB GDDR5 740 GT. I got GUI Miner set up and my account with Slush running. I started mining and I'm only getting 55 mhash/s. I've heard of the old 9800gt's getting more. And yeah, I know I won't be making much or maybe anything, but I just wanted to try it out. The question is is that rate normal for my card?

But the 9800GT averages 30, so I think my card should be getting quite a bit more.

File>New Miner and then choose your type of miner. I remember when I first started I used GUIMiner and I had to mess around with the different miners available to get a good hashrate.

I'm pretty sure my radeon 7950 wouldn't make a dent in a bitcoin pool.
