Go easy on me as i'm new, but is there such a thing as a sports book bot. A bot where you can automatically place bets on multiple sports? Thanks! It dont know how to stop and didnt use any feeling through it Just play normally Title: Re: sportbook bots Post by: fairlay on February 21, 2015, 05:10:09 PM We allow bots and even support it: https://www.fairlay.com/api/
Most of our market makers use bots to fill our orderbooks with liquidity. However, I am not aware that one of the bots is publicly available. Title: Re: sportbook bots Post by: pandacoin on February 24, 2015, 04:32:29 PM How can you use bot in a sportsbook? That doesn't sound right.
Title: Re: sportbook bots Post by: MBielsa on February 24, 2015, 05:15:11 PM Hello OP,
Yes, there are many bots for sportsbooks. Usually they're focused on exchange companies, such as betfair, or like our fairlay noted on his post above. Have used this for betfair: http://www.geekstoy.com/en But exchange betting is so well managed by big trading companies nowadays that it is hard to make real profits if you're not on their side. They "own" the stats and that's a killer. Unless you're some genius that can beat them at their game (which I personally am not!) :) Hope this helps. Title: Re: sportbook bots Post by: pandacoin on February 24, 2015, 05:19:11 PM Betfair is not available for my country. Do you have bots for DirectBet, NitrogenSports, Anonibet etc.?
Title: Re: sportbook bots Post by: Southpaw0 on February 24, 2015, 05:24:02 PM How can you use bot in a sportsbook? That doesn't sound right. was wondering the samething. why not place bets yourself lol Title: Re: sportbook bots Post by: sherbyspark on February 24, 2015, 05:35:53 PM How can you use bot in a sportsbook? Most of the sports bets are done, where players think based on game play that they will have an edge or it is a tip by other people. How would a bot make a bet automatically , when it really doesn't know about the game, and would only know about the ranking. Title: Re: sportbook bots Post by: koshgel on February 24, 2015, 06:14:36 PM Some bots are programmed to bet on both sides of a line through live bets.
Title: Re: sportbook bots Post by: Southpaw0 on February 24, 2015, 06:35:24 PM Some bots are programmed to bet on both sides of a line through live bets. see now this makes more since. could program a bot to bet on both sides, this would be an amazing bot. cus underdog odds tend flip both directions during the match after one team takes the brief lead etc... Title: Re: sportbook bots Post by: ticoti on February 24, 2015, 06:42:08 PM but how is that possible? betting in sport manage many subjetives variables that I think a bot can't control
Title: Re: sportbook bots Post by: cheekychap on February 24, 2015, 07:16:21 PM Some bots are programmed to bet on both sides of a line through live bets. That clears it up. So basically, do an arbitrage kind of betting during the match live, and cover up if you are losing the match. Title: Re: sportbook bots Post by: pozmu on February 24, 2015, 07:43:06 PM Some bots are programmed to bet on both sides of a line through live bets. That's one of better uses I can think of. Or betting when better side loses a goal. Bot could be also used to read feed with picks and bet them, selecting bookie with best odds etc. Bitcoin bookmakers would be best suited for this I think as it could work even with 0 balance on bookies account (auto funding with btc as needed). Title: Re: sportbook bots Post by: finnile on February 24, 2015, 07:52:19 PM Even if it is used for making live bets on opposite sides , why would you use a bot for it ? Wouldn''t you prefer making that bet manually ? as everything else will be selected manually as well.

With bot all you would have to do is to select events for a given day + fine tune betting algorithm used and push FIRE :þ button. Then you could take a nap. To do this manually you would have to spend whole day in front of the computer and with multiple events chance of missing some bets would be high. Plus you wouldn't need to sit there and monitor the live odds the entire game. But some sites explicitly forbid bots, and I think no sportbook offers API Title: Re: sportbook bots Post by: tyrexs on February 25, 2015, 01:56:15 AM where i can download this bot?
Title: Re: sportbook bots Post by: pandacoin on February 25, 2015, 02:22:02 AM I don't think that works anyway.
