Add some context Bruno.  People aren't going to take you seriously if you don't.  Which programme was it an affiliate code for before Bitcoin and what's it's current use that you believe connects dots?

Quote
If I found a personalized affiliate code used for some well known company (not a Bitcoin entity) first used BBC (before Bitcoin), and that same code is used today directly linking to Bitcoin-type enterprises, namely key player(s) in this fiasco, would that be relevant? And what are the chances of any personalize affiliate code being abandoned, then picked up or transferred to some other (which I don't think is possible, but this is an important question in case I'm wrong).

If my research, which includes the above, is correct, then I'm taken aback by what I've discovered.

As you've already chosen to start this thread, you need to dump the rest of the information here now - otherwise people just get pissed off.

From my head. (maybe I shouldn't have penned that, considering...) Seriously, it's only a guesstimation on my part. And I just realized that I quote the wrong post, but it doesn't matter.

Follow the code and see who else is using it. I found a Barry (ring a bell?) Lingle via that means. You'll discover he's a Forex trader.

Can you explain it to me like I'm five?  I'm having trouble understanding how using GoDaddy for web hosting connects them to any other business in a meaningful way, unless you've discovered a shared account number which you haven't posted or something similar.

Walk us through the whole affiliate thing from before Bitcoin and how it may relate to what's happening now.

PS: I guess I'll be the one providing the "expect mass leak soon", albeit one drip from the facet at a time. For the rest of the night, I will be posting to this thread the lineage, promising to type slowly so that any 5-year-old can follow along.

Let's start anew:

From http://www.techxav.com/2010/01/31/how-we-scale-techxav/

Quote
Here are four methods that we are using to improve page responsiveness and reduce traffic and loading time. Actually we have more ambitious plans which will be launched in the future, these plans will help us to handle a higher level of popularity of TechXav:

  • Global CDN: Our readers outside the United States aren’t able to view our articles fast enough, and we apologized for that. We plan to use Global CDN to push our static assets, within the origin of “xavimg.com”. This will eventually improve page responsiveness further.
  • Singapore Mirror: It’s ironic that a Singapore-based website doesn’t have a Singapore Mirror! The average tendency from Singapore to the United States is about 180 milliseconds to 240 milliseconds, which is WAY TOO LONG! We will soon build a local mirror to serve most Asian countries as well as OURSELVES! (We have concerned too much about our US readers,  ;D
  • Rackspace Cloud Sites: It costs $100 a month, and we don’t have that sort of money. It would be great if some of the you guys could support us financially. This will bring TechXav to the next level. Currently, we can only dream about it.

You can support us and help us scale TechXav further and bring us more traffic via the following ways:

  • Advertise on TechXav (http://www.techxav.com/advertise/)
  • Purchase GoDaddy products using our affiliate link (http://www.godaddy.com/hosting/web-hosting.aspx?isc=IAPtno17)
  • Recommend your friends to subscribe to TechXav
  • Tweet our articles
  • Co-operation or Sponsorship (http://www.techxav.com/contact) (Note: This has been recently removed!)
  • Join us (http://www.techxav.com/contact) (Also recently removed!)

The removed links can still be viewed via archive.com. I'll get back to that.

Note the quality of the English here. The English on this Twitter accounts at this time frame were not as good. More on that later, too.

IAPtno17 is the unique affiliate code for Godaddy and is nontransferable. Also...

In February 2007, eNom dropped RegisterFly as a reseller citing consumer complaints.

The incidents and lawsuit that then followed were the result of a feud between RegisterFly co-owners Kevin Medina and John Naruszewicz, who were at once both business and intimate partners.

AND

Quote
In February 2007 eNom formally severed ties with RegisterFly over continued consumer complaints.[19] John Naruszewicz, a co-owner of RegisterFly, filed suit against his business partner, CEO Kevin Medina (they each were thought to have owned 50% of the company).[11] Medina was fired by RegisterFly, reportedly over civil liabilities relating to allegations of funds mismanagement[20] but Medina and Naruszewicz continued to dispute legal control over the company.[21][22] Meanwhile RegisterFly filed suit against Kevin Medina, alleging he had stolen company funds for a $27,000 male escort service, a $6,000 liposuction procedure, a $10,000/month penthouse apartment in Miami, Florida and a $6,000 chihuahua dog.

After reading the above, does any thread(s?) on this forum come to mind? (I'm not speaking about Bruce Warner) I have one in mind. It's the one where I first published the pic of me wearing a dress and recently bumped. Seriously, but it was a Halloween costume, and as far as I know, I beat to a different drummer.

To be fair, the above is not (yet) part of my official findings, but wanted to post the above last two quotes in case there's a need for me to easily find them later.

Another post coming shortly, continuing the lineage.

The godaddy code comes from the magazine Zhou used to write for and if I am understanding things PG has linked it to the same code being used on mybitcoin.com or related sites owned by the same people/s.

So - tom williams owned both techxav and mybitcoin, and thats possibly how zhou tong heard about it  :)

At least thats my educated guess  :)

wow, is it possible all bitcoin hacks since 2011 are linked together and came from the same group of criminals...

The Bitcoin Crime Syndicate?

First they open up a website and collect not only coins from users, but also usernames and passwords.  Then they claim the site failed and lost all the coins.  With the usernames and passwords they log into email address and bitcoin exchanges and clean them out again.

I don't know whether I'm being really slow here or if you're not making sense, but what are you trying to say?

Someone posted a twitter link with an affiliate ID in it?

The godaddy code comes from the magazine Zhou used to write for and if I am understanding things PG has linked it to the same code being used on mybitcoin.com or related sites owned by the same people/s.

So - tom williams owned both techxav and mybitcoin, and thats possibly how zhou tong heard about it  :)

At least thats my educated guess  :)

For a minute there, my dick got hard.  ;D To be fair, I haven't made that exact connection--yet.

I don't know whether I'm being really slow here or if you're not making sense, but what are you trying to say?

Someone posted a twitter link with an affiliate ID in it?

guess he will show us a connection between ZT and someone other because a minor cannot do business alone without the help of others...

or am i wrong?

I am able to show that either a teenager has his parents doing a lot of paperwork or that there is no Zhou Tong, at least not as we know him.

Has anybody taken the time to read his virtually flawless English post from 2+ years ago on TechXav.com? Doesn't anybody find that aspect at least weird?

And how do you explain that $6,000 dog on the Bitcoin Magazine?  ;D

Learning SEO students tend to register many used to optimize the site for a long time down, the hands will have a lot of account passwords, this time, the account password management problems have emerged. After all, you have been using a password does not work, do not say that each site may have different password requirements, even if you can always use a password, but the account where the website, and the management is still a lot of trouble. Where there is demand, where service will have to meet everyone's needs, which is the market forces.

Bear (somebody WILL be apologizing to me for moving my thread  :'( ) in mind that Twitter has implemented a new policy dealing with affiliate links. That said, the person who owns this Twitter account is the same person who owns the affiliate link, and I've already shown where I gleaned that from.

I don't get the slightest idea what you are talking about.

And am somewhat impressed and disturbed by the energy and time you are able to invest in this technique.. digging up one whois and company impressum after another, interconnecting them, and linking them to random never-heard names..

About Zhou Tong

Zhou Tong is a 15-Year-Old Chinese student who is currently on a scholarship in Singapore. He is an all-rounded tech-savvy teenager - professional web developer (PHP, Ruby on Rails and MySQL), website designer (XHTML/CSS, Internet analyst and a professional tech blogger.

Note the quality of the English here. The English on this Twitter accounts at this time frame were not as good. More on that later, too.

The main link I'm addressing, for now, is Purchase GoDaddy products using our affiliate link (http://www.godaddy.com/hosting/web-hosting.aspx?isc=IAPtno17). The link URL is http://www.godaddy.com/hosting/web-hosting.aspx?isc=IAPtno17.

When I mouseover that link in the original page, the URL I get is actually a different affiliate redirect link: http://affiliate.godaddy.com/redirect/1CAD129D78936A01B2EA2848DC9C4E44

This redirects to the URL you give above, with the IAPtno17 ref which seems to be a generic godaddy coupon code.

Ain't that special! If that's the case, then why are there people still using it today (Twitter, for one) to direct traffic to Godadday so that they can possibly earn a commission like they do for the other affiliate sites they're hawking. I can't believe they would use legit codes for all the others, but use a generic code for Godaddy, leaving a potential 20% referral fee on the table.

www.godaddy.com/reseller/domain-reseller.aspx?isc=IAPtno10

How are you getting these URLs? Most of them are the result of about 4 or 5 redirects, especially on Twitter which goes through t.co, then bit.ly, then affiliate.godaddy.com, then finally the URL above. For instance, one of the links from that 1stchoicedesign feed is https://bitly.com/ICBH3R - which according to the bitly info page (https://bitly.com/ICBH3R+) goes to http://affiliate.godaddy.com/redirect/E9F84F788EF630C486E5CDAE5CABFD65A2DB03FA65D00418FFD24E97A0061A070914402DD3F7CEEFCEA

If there was a way to check where else the ZT affiliate link had been used, you might dig something up.
