Depending on the miner you are using. If it's hooked up to a pc, you can use TeamViewer.

USB tether your phone to the host PC.

I kinda figured that would be the case. I found a video on you tube using a pi  http://youtu.be/x_yhJ_QBfaU (http://youtu.be/x_yhJ_QBfaU)
I'm gonna look around some more and see if anyone has had luck with a wifi dongle. I think that might work as well.
Thanx for the advice.

It depends on the miner, if you mine using add-on devices and raspberry pi, you can use raspberry pi as the controller while the miners (like S1) mine.. you can use a wifi-dongle for this case.

If you use antminers s3, you can add antenna to them and connect them through wi-fi.

Thanx for the feedback. I think I might give this a go around in the next few weeks to
see if it will work with out interruption. The reason I want to try is I have a strong power source
just out of range from internet service. Plus that service gets lost at random times. Other wise I'd try a
range extender.

I have tried connecting it to the cell internet, but didn't work out. You will have to get a router or the TPlink.

Does it matter what kind of phone??? My Samsung says it can be used as a mobile "hotspot".
I can't find any info about being able to connect to it through a wifi dongle. In the next few days I'm gonna
get my hands on one to see.

Not sure if that would make a difference. Maybe others who have tried it, can comment abvout it.

VERY interested as I see where this is going. And I like it.

sup OP!

If your phone can become mobile hotspot, then all become more easy.
The problem is can the miner connect using wifi? If not, then you will need utp connection. You need router.

Not sure if I understand what you mean but here goes....

I mine on an LTE Network, which is much faster than 4G.

Most will also require you to have a hub or some such apparatus to get the signal, a modem of sort usually called a hub.

It works, I run around 10TH/s with no real issues but have ran into bottleneck situations that required machine shutdown for hours on end.

It's worst during summer (loser kids stay home and compute, draining their parent's savings on internet) and extreme weather conditions.

So far, I have no had to do an internet related shutdown since the New Year; new internet came to town.

Also, mining won't work well on satellite but it can work if needed, satellite's got too much latency.

If it's the best you got, it should do the work but can't guarantee anything.

Hope this helps.

if your miners are connected to a pc then teamviewer or other desktop sharing apps are good to control your miners through remote mobile access
