Is there a directory or site that lets you buy directly from miners?

I don't think so, at least not easily.
You'd be looking for Solo-Miners or P2Pool-Miners.

Can they be found on this forum?

Are US dollars of value around here?

He means of more value.
Pure coins directly from miners may be worth more if they ask for more.

Sounds like a bull market. Well, thanks! I'll just continue looking around.

No.  They can be reversed through all payment methods.

Except cash, unless something serious happens.

You didn't make it clear.  Are you looking to buy from miners because that is how to get clean, generated coins?  Most miners get proceeds from a pool, which won't necessarily be newly generated coins.  Or are you thinking a miner might be able to sell to you cheaper than going through an exchange (which is generally not likely)?  Or perhaps you are just looking to buy a larger amount (e.g., bulk purchase?)

That answered my question. Yes, I wanted to buy in bulk.
