The problem is that there are Muslims who want to kill them and anyone else who is apostate. According to the Koran, the penalty for being apostate is death.
anyways, the news needs to cover stuff like this more often or as much as possible. A "PR" campaign is definitely needed to show Muslims that most do not agree that the caliphate is relevant. The Koran is what it is. You can't rewrite it and there may always be a few nuts believing they can invoke the prophecy as a matter of human effort. I'm a naturalist and disagree with such things. If the apocalypse happens it will happen through divinity and not mortal man. That's open to interpretation. Many scholars believe the penalty should be death looking at the Hadiths. Others disagree.

The people holding hands are media staged – they had barriers in front with an entry checkpoint with 10 guards or so, and allowed a small number of muslims inside together with the Jewish congregation. So innermost the synagogue with 50 or so Jews, then this semicircle of 20 or so muslims, then the barriers and guards and police, then a mostly Norwegian crowd."
