??? Do you mean physical coins or inputs that can be traced back to Silk Road? If you mean the latter then all bitcoin is fungible and should be treated the same, although any coins that can be traced back to SR are likely acquired from a mixer. If you mean the former then I don't think DPR 1 nor 2 ever sold any physical coins

Lol well there is of course Silk coin

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=676976.0

Will it be used on the silk road? Well..  Silk Road is dead.   There is silkroad reloaded.. but been slammed by every tor junkie as i2p is well.. better and o course tor is a honeypot heavily invested in by the us gov.. and of course every person that got burnt by silk road .. twice..  Would probably be pissed at anyone trying to capitalize on the name.. and obviously would be distrustful towards the name..

Should there be a silkroad coin?
Personally o course devving silkcoin, could see some obvious abrasion.. and would it have any worth? Well.. I'd say no.  As it could only be used for a small marketplace. . Suppose you could have your own silkroad coin decentralized marketplace... but o course would likely have your comp and home raided.. perhaps get threatened by vendors that got totally fucked..  torn a new ass hole by everyone else that got fucked..  and piss of legions of people in cryptos that would 100% disagree on the idea of a pure drug marketplace in our cushy little sphere called cryptocurrency.. Although from even 6 months ago to now with the arrival of all the drug coins and of course the beautiful rebel movements in anon with shadow, crave, cypher and o course dark before it became dash.. I think the landscape is changing.  If it is for marketing or freedom.. ya know it's really tough to say

But..   Maybe it would be mined the shit out of.. pumped to the top of trex.. but likely be left for dead and onto the next..

  Tough call mate.

Course my call would have to be no.  To silkroad coin.  As there would be obvious confusion between that coin and Silkcoin.  But perhaps the controversy alone would be a fun ride if you properly minded your ps and q's.  Risky waters no doubt.

...

Hes talking about a PHYSICAL BITCOIN. As in, a physical coin made out of actual metal that somehow commemorates the silk road market place. Some people like to collect them.

An example such as you can find in this link:
 http://www.ebay.com/itm/2-1-OZ-999-PURE-COPPER-ROUNDS-PICTURE-OF-BITCOIN-ON-FRONT-THE-SILK-ROAD-/291427377713?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item43da6ce231\\

He is not talking about some sort of alt-coin. Just a copper round that commemorates the website.

I answered his question that yes, indeed such a coin exists in the form of a 1oz copper round available on eBay. There was no reference to an altcoin.

Do you understand?

I see these on Trademe (New Zealand's equivalent of eBay) all the time. They go for a few dollars each and don't actually have any BTC value. They're made of copper and are pretty cool to look at, plus they come in other designs too. The company that makes them is Anonymous Mint (http://www.anonymousmint.com/). You can buy 60 coins for under $50, keep some for yourself, and sell the rest on Trademe/eBay for a nice profit.

My understanding is that the Silk Road coins were seized and auctioned. So the winner of the auction would have coins that can be directly traced to Silk Road. Not sure if they're available for sale though.
